Why are saying lower on a 3? Am I missing something here?

@Angelus: That's why they do it haha. But no, even counting one deck is pretty difficult. You need to have good mental math and a good memory.

@Angelus: That's why I said in the 1970s! I'm pretty sure that's when the strategy of card counting was developed, and once casinos caught on, they started using like eight decks at a time to make it super hard to count.

@Angelus: No problem! Blackjack's pretty fun. You could also learn how to count cards, but that's not useful here. It's really only useful for, like, impressing your friends or going to a casino in the 1970s. :P

@Miss kitty: That's really cool! And confusing... If I refer to my "first cousin once removed" I could be talking about my aunt's grandson or my grand-uncle's daughter?

When the dealer has 4, 5, or 6, the odds are very high that they will bust. Therefore you don't really need to make risky hits!

@Angelus: In this case it must be a 1, since if it were an 11 you would have 25 which is a bust. Basically, the A acts as 1 or 11 whichever is more convenient for you at the time :)

Hitting is more fun than letting the dealer bust out, I will give you that. Not necessarily strategic but definitely fun xD

@Angelus: The dealer's faceup card gives you a lot more information than you realize at first. Use that and the fact that the most common value in the deck is 10 to decide what to do!
