I work in a pet store. There was this one lady a few years ago that came in fuming. She claimed that the guinea pig she bought from us 6 months ago was pregnant at the time of purchase.Okay, so that's a mild problem. But we can offer to buy the babies back after they reach a certain age. But she didn't want that, she wanted us to check every single animal for a possible pregnancy and reimburse her with cash for the babies that she had no intention of selling.
I told her that we couldn't just give her money. She got upset and asked, "Well how do you expect me to afford to take care of all these babies". I explained that her only options in this store were sell them or keep them.
I eventually took her over to the cages and explained to her how guinea pig biology works. One of the most important parts that i emphasized on was a guinea pig's pregnancy lasts about 3 months. Therefore if she bought the guinea pig 6 months ago then her guinea pig had to have gotten pregnant after the purchase.
She insisted that it had to have happened at our store because the only other guinea pig that was around the one that she bought was her cousin's girl guinea pig. I tried to explain to her how to tell the gender on a guinea pig but she didn't want to hear it and asked for "someone competent". So I got the manager and I went back in the back to do inventory.I later learned that the manager literally told her the same thing I did, which was "We cant just give you money". So she got angry and left.

1 stick of butter
1/2 cup of honey
1/2 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/3 cup of popcorn kernels, air popped.
Some brands pop bigger that others.
Melt butter in a medium sauce pan.Add the honey, brown sugar and salt. Cook the mixture until the butter and stuff are fully incorporated.
if you let it set and the oils from the butter rise up around the edges of the pan then it's not done.
When it's fully mixed together, add the baking soda. It will double insize so make sure you got a big enough pan.
Preheat the oven at 250F. Lube up a large nonstick cookie sheet, i use crisco.
Mix the butter mixture with the popcorn in a large bowl with a spatula. This is easier if the sauce is warm when you do it.
Once it's mixed, evenly put the popcorn on the baking tray. You may need to do it in batches.
Bake the popcorn for about 18 minutes. Stir it around halfway through.
You may have to eyeball it the first time you do it. My old oven took 30 minutes to bake it. At average it takes about 18 minutes.
My aunt makes a mix with it using Honey Nut Chex, honey roasted peanuts, caramel morsels and pretzels.

@Koah:
We've only had one snowfall this year. We're expected to have another one at the end of this week. After that we'll shoot right back into the mid 60's. I'm almost afraid of what next year's summer will be like. I tolerate the cold better than the heat. With the cold, I can just keep adding layers but with the heat , there's only so many I can take off. Especially in public. People start judging when you're down to your underpants in public even If they're just as miserably hot.

@koneko:No, this was the first time i've built a snowman. Like really built a snowman. Not those lumps of snow and sticks I made when I was 5 years old. We had scarves and hats but I was too lazy to go dig them out.

Chocolate sculptures are for Halloween. As for the butter, I mean, it is America. Over the past decade we've cut out a lot of the butter obsession but there's still stuff like this, especially in the south where the soul food states are...and Wisconsin and Iowa. They have butter statues there that they've had bronzed. Paula Deen the Butter Queen didn't help matters with the cultural obsession.

With my dog last year. There's no snow this year. It's been disturbingly warm.
