@RainbowPanda: I think you have to be signed in since your sims needs to be up to date. So you need to be signed into an origin account. Origin is needed to play the sims.

@RainbowPanda: No you need to have the sims installed to use Sims 4 Studio.

@RainbowPanda: I use photoshop and Sims 4 Studio to create my sim items.
