@sunny: The event doesn't have to be holiday themed. I would think of this as possibly a mini-event to hold Volties over until the larger event that's being developed. I hope that helps. Sly can also weigh in. :)

@Raxton: We have plans to expand and go more in depth for our forum rules. The current ones are place holders and basic forum rules to make sure it doesn't get too chaotic around here!

I really like your idea for registration and having new members answer questions about our rules to verify that they read them before agreeing. :vanora_glasses:

As of right now, I'm not too worried about the games forum since it's a fraction of the volts you'd gain anywhere else on the forums, but I did have some concerns about that one thread you mentioned. ^^ (More updates on rules to come for sure!)

I'd like to make it clear that the "Forum rules" pertains to all forums. So double posting is allowed, just not triple.

Other than that, we'll keep this thread in mind when we revise and make additions to our rules.

Good afternoon, Volties! Now that Voltra has opened its doors and established itself, we believe that it’s an appropriate time to pick up an additional staff member or two! If you’re interested in helping Voltra’s development and working behind the scenes, you’re in the right place.

Right now, as of September 2017, we are currently seeking interested applicants for a Writer position. Applications for this position will be taken for the few days, with the deadline for this application being September 16th, 2017 at approximately 12pm Central.

Information for this position is as follows:

Title: Writer [Event Focus]

Job Description and Requirements: Designing, planning, writing, and running site events in concert with a team of other writers. You must be able to work in a team, meet deadlines, and keep up with staff discussions and materials related to your position.

You must be capable of remaining professional while representing yourself as a member of Voltra Online, and you must be capable of discretion in relation to non-public information you will learn while working on Voltra projects.

Basic ability to work with google documents and use Discord is a requirement, as is a good handle on the english language. Experience writing dialog and playing characters is a plus, as is any prior event planning experience.

Benefits: Writers receive an Ohm grant on the first of the month in exchange for their services, in addition to the fun of being on the team and having a say in major projects prior to their public release.

@Totalanimefan: We are going to be working on an instant update feature, but for now, I only have the time on weekends to release updates in The Surge. ^^ There is also a brief explanation of the TV head at the bottom of the page under the ads. :vanora_smile:

@Totalanimefan: As long as we have ads on the site, this is a permanent item. :)

New colors will be introduced in the future, but not anytime soon. 25 colors takes atleast 2-3 hours to recolor, upload, and add to shops. Adding more now would significantly slow down the release of new items. We have our items saved in greyscales on a shared drive. So it will be easy for myself and future staff to recolor past items with new recolors. :)

You'll see a boat load of new base colors coming to shops soon. Ill add the other suggested skin tones to our list of suggestions. Thanks for the feedback!
