"....." Cain was silent for a moment, and sighed.

"I..." he stammered.

"Well, I mean... I want to be with you guys, but also Lunet." he told her.

"Are you guys thinking about staying at the Unit?" he asked.

"Because odds are Lunet is." he continued.

"And maybe we'd all be safer here, than anywhere else." he reasoned further.

"Honestly, that's pretty much the consensus here too." She told him.

"We only have an hour, so if we're going to be a tthe Unit, we'll be there soon." She continued before pausing.

"where are you?" She asked. "I know you said you were meeting Lunet for lunch, but never told me where."

"....conveniently, the Unit." Cain replied.

"We were in the cafeteria when we got the news." he told her.

"Lunet's gone to talk to her father. Odds are to tell him she's staying here." he went on.

"And she'll want to know what WE'RE doing. As well Agent Sharp." he continued.

"Shall I tell them that we'll be here?" he asked.

"Or... well, anything else, something more specific, or what?" he asked further.

"... That really does make it easier." She commented.

"And yeah, feel free to go give him a heads up and see if you can get keys to dorms fo rus." She added.

"And yes, if he and Lunet are cool with it, I'm cool with you getting one with her solo." She told him with a bit of a smirkl.

Cain's face turned red. As red as it could.

Even though Aedan couldn't see it. She knew it was happening.

"...r-right." he then said.

"I'll go and tell them." he told her.

"Thanks." he went on.

He then mumbled something to himself, and sighed.

"Mom." he said.

"This is kinda frightening." he told her quietly.

Cain heard nothing but a heavy sigh on the other end of the phone.

"I know." She said. "I'd be alarmed if you weren't." She paused, sighing again.

"At least we should be save at the Unit. Hal's got that place pretty well protected, and even then, he's superbly equipped to deal with shit as it come sup."

"Yeah." Cain replied.

"That's true." he said.

"Anyway, I'll let you and Dad finish up what you're doing." he told her.

"I might stop by to grab some things. Might now." he said further.

"Talk to you later." he finished.

With that, they ended the conversation, Cain hung up the phone, and he made his way to Hal's office, stopping at reception to wait until Lunet was finished talking to her father.

He wasn't waiting for too horribly long before the door opened and Lunet was about to leave. She was stopped by Hal wishing to have a hug, which she over obliged, before turning to leave and seeing Cain.

"oh!" She exclaimed, obviously a bit surprised.

"Dad, I think Cain's here to let you know what's going on at home for him." She added with a light chuckle.

Hal looked over towards Cain, and nodded.

"Well!?" he called out.

"Mom and Dad are coming here, and I'm staying here at the Unit as well." he said.

"...er, well, I mean I probably am-" he started to say, before Hal just rolled his eyes.

"I'll make sure there's a dorm for your family." he told him.

"...unless you'd rather stay in... ANOTHER dorm..." he went on, seemingly giving Cain the evil eye.

Cain froze immediately, and wasn't sure what to say here.

"I... I, ah..." he stammered, having difficulty with his words.

Silence hung in the air for a second.

'Well, if that's an option, sign us up, Dad." She said with a slight smirk. This was definitely something that was needed, a little bit of levity to the room.

"Because, ... well... wy not?"

Both Hal and Cain were silent for a moment, before Hal shrugged.

"Fair." he said.

"The larger dorms can be used for larger groups, anyway." he said.

"They house up to 5 people, and there'd be no point taking up one of those with just three people, when one can get away with using a 2-person dorm and having the other take another dorm." he continued.

He then tapped away on the keyboard for a moment, and sighed quietly.

"All right." he said.

"Here." he told Lunet, handing her two key cards.

"Cain, tell your folks to come see me to get THEIR usual key cards." he said to Cain.

"Got it." Cain replied.

"Thanks." Lunet said, accepting tht card, before pausing

"Where the hell are you going to be staying, anyway? I assume in the bullding, but.... Yeah. Where?" She asked after a moment or two, her curiosity a bit more than a little apparent. She'd never known him to stay in the building, or if there was a specific location for him or anything.

"....." Hal was silent for a moment.

"Here." he told her.

"Here?" Cain asked, having stepped forward enough to hear them and speak in a normal volume. "As in, the Unit?" he asked further.

"...I meant that in every sense of the word." Hal responded.

He then stood up and made his way to a wall that had things hanging on it, but had nothing really in front of it. He pushed a button, and the wall came down, revealing it to be a hidden bed.

"I need to be in my office, ready to go at all times."

"I.... Huh. Ok then." She commented before sighing

"I really wish it was an attached full suite instead just... That, though." She admitted with a shake of her head.

"I assume you're going to request Ty come to the bullding as well, as he's your second in command?"

"It's for emergencies." Hal responded.

"I still need to leave to get food and take care of certain needs, but I will be alerted if something happens during the night, or whatever." he told her.

"I cannot afford to be out of my office for very long at a time. And I need to have my phone on me at ALL times. It will serve as my work number as well, if I redirect all calls to it." he continued.

"Also, yes." he then said to Lunet.

"Agent King knows what to do in this situation, and he will be here." he continued.

"And he will be bringing Agent Vierayen as well." he added.

"But good to know... Oh. Can I have you phone for the next couple of hours? I'm going to work through everyone's to get them off of the grid so usage can't be tracked." She said after a second.

He then sighed, and tossed Lunet his phone.

"Here." he said.

"Go nuts." he told her.

"Right, we should go." Cain said to her.

"If you want anything from home, I suggest getting it. NOW." Hal finished, speaking to both of them.

"We will be back." She added, slipping his phone onto her pocket.

"And I'll have this back to you as soon as I can. Shouldn't be more than 3,maybe 4,hours"

"I can get us there in a snap."
