The person was right up next to her now, and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Listen closely." he said.

"Do what I say... and perhaps this social situation will end." he told her.

"You want that, yes?" he asked.

"Cooperate with me, and I promise this will end." he assured her.

"Want to know how I can promise this?" he asked.

"...I started it. I know how to end it." he whispered into her ear.

... what...? she thought, finding it hard to believe. How could one person do this, and how coudl anyone stop it. The ball was already rolling, right?

She was sitting in the cafeteria, grabbing a bite to eat when he cell chimed to signify she had a test.

I know where you are, Rebecca. was all it said. The blondde that read that froze a moment.

She didn't say anything, couldn't say anything, as she felt panic starting to bubble. She knew the one person she didn't want to find her.

she just set her phone down, and aside again. She refused to respond, refused to acknowledge it for the moment

As she was trying her best to not dwell on it, she didn't notice someone sit down across from her.

Not until they spoke, anyway.

It was Jackson, and he was looking concerned.

"Hey, Becca?" he addressed her.

"Sorry about whatever I did before." he apologised. They hadn't really spoken since they had bumped into each other in one of the hallways, and he'd been worried that he'd done something to offend her.

"I don't know what I said or did, but if I made you uncomfortable, I'm sorry." he said further.

"Are you all right?" he asked.

Becca was silent for a moment before shaking her head.

"I... no. It... it wasn't you." She admitted.

"I just..." She sighed, heavily.

"Levi just... said something that reminded me way too much of where we met."

Jackson just growled when he heard that.

"I knew it." he said.

"That damn little weasel." he snarled.

"Don't worry, Becca." he then said further.

"Next time I see him, I'm gonna see to it that he never bothers you again." he promised.

"...in fact, I'll go do that NOW." he continued, starting to rise to his feet.

"How dare he bring back those horrid memories..."

"I... I don't think he did that intentionally." She added.

"It ... was just something he said offhandedly."

Jackson stopped when he said what she did.

"...." he was silent for a moment, before sighing and sitting back down.

"I see." he said.

"Must have been one HELL of a coincidence for something offhandedly said to trigger that." he said sceptically.

"But just know that you're safe here." he told her.

"Especially since there's a lockdown happening."

Becca was silent before sighing.

"I... I know." She said.

"But... I'm still super uneasy wheneve rhe comes up." She added, referring to the man that had orchestrated what they had gone through.

"I don't... I just..." She started before shaking her head.

"It sucks. I'm not sure I'll ever get over that." She sounded mostly all right, a little on edge, but ok. Internaly though, she was still panicking a bit. It may not have been as strong as when Levi initially said what he did, but the text she received, along with the fact that she knew her and Jackson had experienced the same thing and he was the only connection to that, that remained.... well... for all she knew he was working with the one that orchestrated it.

Overall, she was sure he wasn't, but she coudln't deny the posisbility, and that was enough to keep her on edge.

Jackson wasn't sure what to say here.

But he sighed and shook his head.

"...I don't think anyone will." he admitted.

"Those bastards had no regard for our safety or rights or anything." he said further.

"But hey, just try and remember that you're safe here." he continued.

"There's no way he even knows you're here, right? I mean, you could have been taken to ANYWHERE that this place has connections." he added with a light chuckle.

Becca sighed, heavily.

"I know... I just... I know." She admitted.

"But ... I can't deny the fear that he will find me. I know he's still out there, I know he's found me before..." She trailed off.

"I don't live in fear, as you know, but... I'm sure you can understand why I'm so on edge about it."

Jackson sighed again.

"Yeah, I guess so." he said.

"You never know what that guy that ran it all is capable of." he muttered.

He then looked off to the side for a moment, and for a split-second, she swore she saw... HIM.

The one that had put such fear in her. She swore she saw him walking in the background.

However, when the person turned and she saw them from the front, it clearly wasn't. Their profile just reminded her of him immensely.

And for a brief moment, she thought that he had infiltrated the Unit.

Becca was silent as Jackson said what he did, and as she saw what she did. She didn't know what to make of it, and certainly didn't know if she could actually come to terms with it.

"I..." She started before shaking her head.

"I gotta go. I'm sorry I've been so absent, Jacky. Just... I'm sorry. It's not you, I swear." With that, she left, leaving her lunch half eaten.

Jackson didn't have a chance to say anything, before she was gone.

He watched her go, and was silent for a moment, before biting his lip.

"....Becca..." he muttered.

"You..." he stammered, looking at the food that was left on her tray.

"...damn it." he cursed quietly, putting his elbows on the table, and resting his eyes in his palms.

"Bastard, Liam. Even to this day, you still torture her, don't you?" he asked quietly, thinking about the bad memories Becca would have... and how she probably suffered from PTSD because of him.

At that moment, as Becca stepped out of the cafeteria, she received another text message. She wanted to ignore it, but her curiosity got the better of her, and she checked her phone.

Aww, not feeling hungry? Didn't finish your food... it read.

Becca's complexion honestly paled a few shades as she stared at the text. She refused to react and throw her phoneor something, despite how she really wanted to. For all she knew, he'd managed to get into the camera and was using that. There was no way for her to know.

"No..." She said quietly before inner part of her lip. She knew she should ignore him, but she couldn't, not this time too.

What do you want was all she sent.

There was silence for a moment, before there was a string of responses.

You know. the first one read.

Just think about it. You'll find the answer. the second one told her.

How the hell am I supposed to know? Rebecca sent her without thinking about it.

You're just a ghost from my past. Good bye. was all she said before locking her phone and putting it back in her number. Now, she had to go calm down, and a swim would be the best way to do that.

She made her way to the dorm she shared with Jackson, got changed into her swimsuit and made sure she had towels, before heading down to the underground pool that was on the lower levels.

When she made her way down to the underground pool, she found that there was nobody there.

Not a single soul.

She was alone in the pool, and there was a peaceful tranquillity to it.

The water was clear and practically still.

However, there was something off.

Something in the back of her head.

Something that told her HE was still watching her... somehow...

Rebecca was silent before setting her stuff aside, stripping dfown to nothing more than her swimsuit, and climbing into the water. The tranquility of the water helped to calm her nerves for the moment.

". . . what the fuck is going on...?" She wondered as she floated in the water, just staring at the sky mimicking ceiling.

"... it can't be Liam, can it?" She then asked the air, knowing she wouldn't get an answer.

After some floating, she dove under the water and started to actually swim.

The water was an excellent temperature, and she was rather enjoying herself.

However, as she reached the bottom, and flipped around to look up through the water, she swore she saw something.

There was someone standing at the edge of the pool.

Someone looking down at her.

Someone wearing a VERY distinct and familiar suit.

.... What the.... she thought before surfacing, knowing she couldn't stay below forever, and that she really couldn't avoid it. She wasn't hard to see down there.

"Yes?" She asked, her voice quivering slightly, but only slightly.

"Can I help you?" She asked, hoping that it wasn't who she feared, who it looked like.
