Jaden just sighed in response.
"That's a relief." he said.
"I mean, that you weren't waiting long!" he quickly clarified.
"Er, anyway..." he then muttered.
"What do you want?" he asked.
"I'll go and order it for you." he offered.
"I haven't been here in a while, but I remember their waffles are addictively decadent." he added with a chuckle.

Desiree chuckled lightly as Jaden clarified what he'd meant. She realized that he hadn't meant it any other way than what he'd said, but she wasn't about to say that. "I already ordered a drink for now." She said after a moment.
"I'll get food in a little bit. I'm actually surprisingly not hungry." She then admitted after a few seconds.
"And yes. The waffles here are divine." She agreed with a laugh. "But I'm not surprised. Fresh waffles almost always are - if you don't much up the recipe."

"All right." he replied.
He then thought for a moment, before smiling.
"You say you're not very hungry." he commented.

"Oftentimes a sweet tooth is completely separate from hunger." he reasoned with a chuckle.

Desiree paused a moment, not entirely sure what it was that she wanted to say here. After a few seconds she shook her head. "No, I think I'm all right." She said with a soft smile.

He then made his way to the front counter, got his coffee, and then made his way back to her.
He sat down across from her, put his drink down, put the black and purple bag down as well, and smiled.

"Yes, hello again." Desiree said with a soft smile. 'So how was your light reading?" She asked with a light smirk.
"Seriously. How was it?" She the asked, her voice making it quite apparent that she was eager for an answer. She hoped it hadn't been too insane, after all. She did know it wouldn't have been a quick or light read.

"However, when I started to get into things I DIDN'T know, it became a lot easier to get through." he admitted.
"So, overall, I'd call it a pleasant way to spend a few weeks." he went on.
"Rather enlightening, as well." he added.

Desiree paused a moment before looking in the bag. When she saw it, she was silent."I... wow." She said after a moment, shock in her voice. She didn't know what it was that she was supposed to make of this. She was too stunned to say anything overall.
"This..." she stated as she took the deck out of the bag and started to look at the indiivdual cards.
"I've never actually... seen one of these decks." she admitted.

"Ah, excellent." he said.
"I DID choose wisely." he commented,

"And to thank you for exposing me to new information about your Eye, I decided to get you something I thought you'd enjoy, and there was a good chance you didn't have." he went on.
"So there you go."

Desiree was silent for a moment before smiling softly."Jaden, thank you." She said after a moment.
"I can't believe you managed to get one." She added. "They are REALLY hard to come by. I've been trying for years."
After a moment she just smirked before setting the deck down in the middle of the table.
"Want to see what I can read for you?"

"Then please cut the deck. Divide it into 3 piles. One for your past. One for your present. And one for your Future."

Jaden took the deck and shuffled them as she instructed. He did so for about 30 seconds, before setting the deck down in front of her. Once he did, he took a stack of cards from the top and placed it to the left. He then did the same with the remainder of the cards, placing the other pile on the right.
"There." he said.
"Shuffled and divided thrice." he told her.
"And some might say that without knowing who I really am, this could be more accurate." he reasoned.
'If one believes in that sort of thing.' he added mentally.

Desiree just chuckled."All right, your past." She said before flipping the top card. It revealed a woman sitting there, pregnant. She wore a crown of stars, and held a scepter to match.
"The Empress." She told him. "Reversed too...."
"You suffered a massive creative block. You couldn't get anywhere a few years ago." She started. "You relied on those you were close to - even if they are few and far between. Kalin for the bulk of it, until she introduced you to someone else, who then had you sit and meet your mother again."
"This block lasted a few years. Years you were dependant on your mother. You stayed with her for this time too, until you finally found the passion to return to your act again." She finished.
"Oh, and that was about 32 years ago." She paused here.
"How far off am I?"

"I..." he stammered.
"Ah..." he stuttered further.
"I mean... that's... well... that's not... entirely... UNTRUE..." he said.
"Okay, it's all true." he admitted.

Desiree just smirked lightly before flipping the middle card. 'Huh. Justice. Upright." She said.
"This one is pretty self-explanitory. You're one to stand up for justice. You don't sweep things under the rug - normally. Everyone has their moments." She continued.
"But overall, you're a very just individual."

Desiree looked to Jaden quizzically before nodding. She'd broach that later, or he would. "Anyway," she said before pausing a moment to flip over the card.
"Two of Wands, reversed." She told him.
"something is going to happen, I don't know when but I think it'll be at least a decade from now, where you'll be afraid of the future. You won't know what's coming, and it'll scare you. Moving, love, pregnancy... I'm not sure what it will be.
"This fear of the unknown will be caused by something unplanned. Whatever happens, it won't have been something expected, planned, but it is wanted."
