@Shadami: Oh that would be a nice thing to do, IMO - as long as you like doing it. It could easily become a weekly ritual that your kids can help with and look forward to!!

It's not worth it for me to try making bread here... (1) I'm not really much of a baker (2) I don't eat bread or wheat as a general rule (3) It seems like all I do is cook, and although I don't mind that, I don't want to add to my list either and (3) Teenage boys. Fresh baked things last a whole 5 minutes around here!

Speaking of making bread, it's taken me an hour and a half to make this dough. It's rising now so I get a break thankfully. My back is killing me lol

@0v7: I'm glad you're getting a break. Kneading the dough is probably the hardest part of baking!! Are you excited for it though?
yeah i don't think that's just teenage boys xD but my girls when given free reign in the kitchen will eat everything in sight.

True, but it takes on a whole different level when the teenage boy is 6'2" and very active

I had half a bowl of chicken noodle soup for lunch - the tempeh I made was weirdly bitter and pretty much inedible.

I'm pretty sure my 8 year old will be taller then me. she's only a foot shorter then me right now.
