"No!" he put his hands up.

"No fights ryker!" he sighed shaking his head.

After a moment, the waiter came out with a smaller steak more well done than the rest. It was placed in front of ryker.

"I may have...used my superpower for you" he smiled

"You get cranky when you dont eat meat" he chuckled.

"Im just trying to avoid you snapping at me later" he laughed and kept eating. "Its been too long since i had meat like this!"

He finished quickly. a week of hospital food left him hungry so he got another steak

he couldnt help but laugh.

"A dragon at heart huh?" he smiled and finished off his second steak.

He debated getting another but big meals always made him really tired and he was done sitting around, so he decided not to.

"Whenever your ready, we can go. i might have used my charm again so we wouldnt have to pay."

He thought about it. "Yknow...im surprised it still works. i mean i dont look like a girl anymore...i havent in a long time..."

He got up but frowned.

"How many times do i have to tell you? i. am. not. cute." he glared at ryker and walked out.

"The dust only has a few days time on it before it fades" he walked on.

He walked for a long while before it got dark. They wereout of the town and between cities.

"Looks like its sleeping under the stars"

"I wouldnt mind...didnt you buy tents recently?" he looked over and yawned.

He walked and found a cave. "Not bad"

He sat down yawning again.

"Man im beat...stupid surgery"

"Kinda silly to have the tent up inside a cave." he sat down making a small fire.

He had gotten better at using his firebreathing but it still irritated his throat some.

"I dont mind the chill in here." he stared at the fire.

"I know youve been asking yourself some heavy questions ryker. You talk in your sleep." he didnt look at ryker.

"Things like you dont know who you are or what your meant to do...wanna talk about that?"

"And?" he looked at ryker.

"You planning for...after my death...?" he raised an eyebrow.

He stoked the fire and yawned.

"Or...for something a bit sooner?"

"Ryker...does the other you want to...leave?" he looked at him.

There was worry in ekes tired eyes. He didnt want to be alone.

"I mean...if you two agree on that...i wont stop you..." he played with some rocks throwing them at the opposite wall.

"So...its not exactly wanting to leave as its more...following a calling?" he looked over.

"I mean...i...i wont stop you if you think its best you go..."

He shrugged.

"I...can handle the capital alone"

He looked over and smiled.

"Good..cause i dont think i can handle it on my own" he laughed and lay down.

"Tomorrow we should reach the capital" he yawned.

With that he was fast asleep, although his tail was curled around rykers leg.
