"I really hope you get to go see her at the very least." he went on.

"All I really can do... Is just... Continue on. I can't do anything more to try and help mom, it's in the medics hands, and dads mana." Lunet said with a sigh.

"... Anyway, shall we finish cleaning? Before Kiah has your head for leaving this place a disaster." it wasn't hard to guess that she needed to just do something, even if nothing interesting.

Cain nodded.

"Of course." he replied.

"Let's get this cleaned up." he told her.

They then started to finish up the job, and Cain suddenly looked like he had an idea.

"...wait..." he said.

"I... I'm not a medic, but... if we can learn the nature of her injury, then... maybe I can come up with something to help." he suggested.

"MAYBE." he stressed.

"...." Lunet was completely silent for a few seconds before sighing, heavily.

"We... we'll broach on that after we clean up this mess." Was all she said.

She was sitting in the dark, her knees up, and seeming to be closed in on herself. She wasn't bound, just locked in a pitch black room with deep purple lights that barely made a dent in the unending darkness surrounding her.

The room was completely silent, for anyone but her. Interally, all she heard was 'them'. They were lively, active. Their voices were loud, undeniable.

It probably wouldn't take long to break her down enough that she'd do anything to get them to shut up.

And she was sure that was what Liam was waiting for.

Liam, meanwhile, was watching her from a closed-circuit system, and smirking.

'Yes..." he said.

"Yes, allow them to seep into you..." he went on.

"You are the perfect vessel. You connect with them." he continued.

"You're... a perfect match." he commented further.

He then sighed, and shook his head.

"I almost set the world on fire for you... but it was worth it." he finished in a contented tone.

She was completely silent, huddled in that corner that she knew was ineffective, and barely even realising that she was doing it.

All she knew for the moment, was the bombardment of them within her own head, breaking down her everything almost systematically.

early on, she'd been humming, singing quietly to herself as a comfort, but that had stopped aboiut an hour ago. It hadn't taken long, either, only a couple hours, before they had managed to silence her.

As Liam watched, he couldn't help but be a bit proud of his catch. This would change the world, and he'd do it for the better. He wouldn't destroy it as he was doing before to get her, but would make waves in the best way he knew how.

Even if people would die as a result.

Liam was feeling very proud of himself.

There was nothing that anyone could do now.

He'd destroyed her phone thoroughly once they'd gotten to where they were, so there was no way they'd be found.

He was confident in that.

Meanwhile, Hal was speaking to two of his agents in his office.

"...understand?" he asked, having briefed them on their mission.

"Get to Anaheim, track her down, and SAVE her."

The female just smirked.

"You know I can find almost anyone I've had contact with." She assured him.

"Ready?" She asked the one she was to be paired with for this.

"And if so, think you can handle travelling through Hell?" She then asked. It wouldn't matter much as it was easily the best means of travel for them on a time limit, as they were.

He looked at her and nodded.

"Yeah." he said.

"One second." he told her.

He then concentrated for a moment, and she saw a very thin 'film' of very dark purple mana coat him.

"I can keep this up for a minute at most." he went on.

"So let's go now." he told her.

"Then move." Hal interjected.

"Time is of the essence."

She nodded before causing a portal to open behind him.

"go. I'll follow. Walk straight, there's a path, do NOT step off it." She warned.

"If you do... well... I cannot promise you being ok."

He nodded in response.

"And away I go!" he said, rushing into the portal.

"Good luck." Hal said to the woman.

"...I hope we're not too late." he finished.

Meanwhile, the male was just ploughing forward, and some demonic entities were watching him... and they looked leery.

Almost... nervous.

Like they didn't want him to be there... because they thought he was a THREAT.

She followed, closing the portal behind her as they continued through.

As they came out on the other end, they were in a bit of a darker room.

"You ok?" She asked, closing the portal they came through.

"Because I know that even with protection, it isn't a pleasant trip. The realm has strong effects."

He was silent for a moment, before the 'film' slipped away.

"....yeah." he said.

"Yeah, I... I think so." he told her.

"I... feel light-headed and like there's a brink in my stomach." he said further.

"A little on the dizzy side, as well." he added.

"But something tells me I got off lightly." he went on.

"Admittedly, that's the first time I've tried that..." he then muttered.

"It should only last a few minutes." She told him.

"Take a seat. Might as well chill and let yourself recover." As she spoke, she motioned to a chair that was off to the side.

"This is a place that is set up by the Triad and Council for safe mana." She added. "We won't be interrupted or anything. If that's a concern."

He made his way to the chair, and sat down, placing a hand on his head.

"Ugh." he groaned.

"Well, good that this place is safe." he said.

"Thanks, Roxie." he went on.

"Though we can't really spend a lot of time resting." he then reasoned.

"So, since we're in Anaheim now, can you get a trace on Rebecca?" he asked.

"Or, rather, how specific can you get now?" he then clarified.

"Eh, I can at least say what direction we're going." Roxie answered.

"Beyond that, it will get to be more specific, the closer we get." She added. "It's been awhile since I've really seen REbecca, nevermind had anything to do with my mana or influence on her."

"So it's something we'll have to walk a bit to find. The fresh air might do you some good once you're good to be on your feet."

He just groaned.

"I'm still learning the ropes, so to speak." he replied.

"LIke... from what I can tell, I have infinitesimally small access to an infinitesimally small amount of... well... their power." he commented.

"However, in relative terms, that's a lot." he went on.

"But I need to be VERY careful about what I do, how I do it, and for how long. If I had kept that shield up for any longer, I get the feeling my mind would have been seriously compromised and it would have given them a frightening amount of control over me." he explained.

"My entire life is living on some kind of precipice." he finished, slumping down a bit and letting out a heavy and exasperated breath.

"Anyway, I'll be back in a minute. I'm checking outside to get a feel for where we're going." She told him before heading off, giving him some time to himself to recover, if need be.
