He watched her go, before closing his eyes and doing his best to relax and concentrate.

It took him about 5 minutes, before he felt like himself again, and he got up from the chair.

"Right." he muttered.

"To work." he said.

He looked around, before making his way to a window and peeking out, to see if he could see Roxie.

Or anyone or anything else, for that matter.

He wondered JUST how isolated this building was.

He looked over towards her, and nodded.

"Yeah." he said.

"Much." he assured her.

"Let's go." he continued, making his way over.

"I should be able to get moving." he said further, looking out the window again.

"North, huh?" he asked.

"Any idea what distance we need to travel?"

He just sighed as well.

"Right." he said.

With that, they left the building, and started walking.

As they did, he looked around, taking in the people surrounding them.

"...looks like a lot of them are confused and worried." he commented.

"Seems like this sudden change back is making people wonder what the hell to think, now."

He was quiet as she said that, and looked a bit sad.

"Yeah..." he said.

"Though I wonder just how much the world will change after this." he commented.

"Will it change at all?" he asked.

"I don't know if anyone ever SAW any mana." he continued.

"Will people think this was, yet again, just some weird paranoid phase of humanity?"

"That makes sense." he replied.

"Though yeah, the hunters will definitely be emboldened because of this." he sighed.

"But we just need to concentrate on Becca." he told her.

"Recusing her is priority." he continued.

He then paused for a moment, and looked around.

"...I think some people are wondering why a scrawny little dude like me is with someone that is so out of my league, it's not funny." he then whispered to her with a small snicker.

To say he was stunned would be an understatement.

To say he liked it would also have been an understatement. Arguably one more egregious than the previous.

For a moment, time seemed to lose all meaning, and he was in a state of pure sensual bliss, before the kiss was broken and he came mentally crashing back down to reality.

He managed to act like the kiss was just something that happened naturally, but she saw it in his eyes.

That had been an experience for him.

"...wow." he managed to whisper.

He eventually got himself together, and kept in step with her.

"Ah-ha..." he laughed nervously.

"Thanks, but I'm happily taken." he told her.

"I mean... well... yeah. I am." he sighed.

"...trust me, someone like you makes it VERY hard to remain loyal..." he then muttered, before pausing.

"But... well... that's kinda your thing, isn't?" he asked, as he saw some of the envious male eyes upon him.

...and a few female ones.

He blushed deeply at the thought of a threesome with Ally and Roxie, before shaking his head vigorously to clear it.

They continued to walk for a bit more, when Roxie managed to hone in on something.

And she could tell they were close.

However, she could also tell that wherever Becca was, the situation was dangerous.

And it was escalating quickly.

Levi noticed this, and looked at her.

"What's going on?" he asked.

Levi's eyes widened.

"...if it's noticeable, it means we have VERY little time." he said.

"We have to hurry!" he told her.

"If we take too long, she'll be lost to them forever, and at best... she'll die." he continued.

"At worst, she'll be a temporary fully controlled vessel that will allow THEM to spill their influence into this world... before she dies." he went on, not sounding happy about it.

"But if you can still tell it's her, then we can save her!" he exclaimed.

"We need to get there ASAP, though!"

Levi quickly donned his 'shield', and dismissed it immediately when they got there.

He then shook his head, slapped his cheeks a couple of times, and hunched down a bit, hands on his knees, breathing forcefully.

After about 45 seconds, he stood up.

"I'm good." he told her.

"As good as I'm gonna get, anyway." he clarified.

He then looked around some, trying to get his bearings.

"...right, lead the way." he said.

"You're the one that knows where she specifically is."
