"Yeah, a volcano would work." he told her.

"Unless you feel like being nice to some dragons." he went on.

"If I recall, we should be in a time frame where babies are growing, and dragons love to feed their children River Wolf carcasses to try and boost their immunity to their venom." he mused further.

"Or did you move it?" She asked. "If so, where to?"

"Because, you are right. It is about the time that the young would be growing. I can easily take it to some."

"Like one of those larger storage tubs." he said further.

"But yeah, those dragonlings will probably benefit from gnawing on what's left." he reasoned.

"And the adults will appreciate it, too." he reasoned further.

"Should try and get that done ASAP, as well."

Ashleigh didn't say anything for a moment before nodding.

"Kelly and Luke are in the basement, in her room." She told him.

"I assume Casey, and probably Lindsay, are with Sammy. Not sure about Darrell and Evan." She added.

"I'm going to head off to do that. It'll take me a bit to fly there and whatnot." She added. "Because the mana barriers that they naturally have suck."

It was at that point, Evan walked into the room.

"Sammy all right?" he asked.

"Think so, yeah." Evan replied.

"Good." Ash said.

"Where's Darrell?" he then asked.

"Still cleaning up bloody footprints." was the response Evan gave.

"Back at some point!" With that, she was gone, leaving the two alone.

Ash watched her go, before looking at Evan.

"...glad she's back?" he asked.

"Yep." Evan replied.

"......wait, where's Kitt?" Ash then inquired.

"Oh, I think she went into the room to be with Sammy." Evan responded.

"Sort of be there for her when she wakes up."

Darrell and Evan were roughhousing, but on the kitchen floor to try and avoid breaking anything (and that's where Casey told them to). The rain was still falling quite steadily, so neither wanted to go outside, and the adults hadn't wanted to kick them out anyway.

At some point, Evan was lightly thrown to the side, and he landed on the floor by the stairs, just before he was stepped on. No one could react fast enough. Evan was tripped over and stepped on, and Sammy hit the floor, hard.

She didn't move for a few seconds before carefully getting to her feet, before whirling around to face her brother.

And she looked ready to light into him before noticing that he was hurt. She had stepped on him, after all.

". . . . you ok?" She asked, her voice quiet, but it was largely because she still felt off, not necessarily because of guilt.

"Did I break a rib on you again?" she asked

"No." he replied.

"You didn't." he said.

"Sorry." he then apologised.

"I didn't know you were up and about." he admitted.

"Darrell and I were fighting, and I ended up getting thrown over here." he went on.

"Sparring, technically." Darrell corrected him.

"Are you feeling all right?" he then asked Sammy.

"Blossoming headache." Sammy answered Darrell before sighing.

"... As long as you're all right, Evan." She then said, concern in her voice as she said that.

"There anything to eat?" She asked. "Because I'm famished."

Darrell just chuckled.

"It IS pretty damn good." he said.

"Best pizza I've ever had." he went on.

"But yeah, there's plenty in the fridge."

Sammy was silent for a moment.

"Really." She said, her voice almost deadpan as she looked toward Darrell.

"No shit it's the best you've had. Uncle Ash is leagues ahead of any professional chef you might find." She added.

"regardless, I'm grabbing some." Was the last thing she said before heading toward the fridge. She paused, just as she passed Darrell though.

"Hey, I just want to say thank you." She said.

"I realise I woudl hae died if you'd not shown up."

Darrell... wasn't entirely sure what to make of Sammy's deadpan attitude and almost curt statements.

But he wasn't going to lie... he didn't NOT like it.

However, before he could get TOO lost in that, he registered what all she said to him.

"Oh, you're welcome." he replied.

"I'm glad I could help." he told her.

"That thing was vicious, though." he continued.

"I found you in just the nick of time."

Sammy, who had managed to make her way to th efridge by that point just sighed, heavily.

"Yeah." She agreed.

"I'm still cold from what that thing did to me. Although, that could be because of the whole blood loss thing one could argue I'm still recovering from." She added before turning to face him and lifting her shirt, showing the bandages around her torso - but it was more for her brother since he knew what she was, and what she could do.

"Still can't recover, fully and properly." She said before dropping her shirt.

"Not fun at all."

Darrell was silent as she lifted her shirt, and couldn't help the light pink that his cheeks were turning.

Evan didn't notice this, however, focusing on the bandages.

"Woah." he said.

"That's nuts." he told her.

"Like... seriously. Wow." he muttered further.

"Is that worrisome?" he then asked.

"Should you... I dunno, ask someone about that?"

"Dad was saying that it's because of the toxin." Sammy answered.

"Could take til tomorrow before I have my regeneration back." She added with a sigh.

"So that's fun." She finished with a sigh before she started to root through the fridge again.

"And the bites hurt. a lot."

"You gonna eat the pizza? And if so, cold or hot?" he asked her.

"I can fire up the oven for you to get it heated up if you want." he offered.

"Thanks." With that, she grabbed the pizza from the fridge.

Darrell nodded and made his way to the oven, turning it on and making sure it was empty. When he saw that it was, he set it to a decent temperature, and prepped a baking sheet for the pizza.

"Yeah, anyway..." he muttered.

"Just to reintroduce myself, I'm Darrell." he told her.

"Darrell Sherwood." he said fully.

"I'm going to be staying with you guys for a while." he continued.

"It's awesome!" Evan exclaimed.

"Someone to keep him in line," she started, jabbing a thumb at Evan, "is all good in my books."

"But good to properly meet you. Name's Samantha Fyrane. Most people call me Sam or Sammy, though." She added.

"What kinda things do you like to do?" She asked, leaning against the counter.
