".....kay..." Azazel said quietly.

All this commotion had not gone unnoticed by their son.

Mostly because he essentially lived in the basement, and Azazel landing on the floor of the den caused a massive racket for him down there.

He emerged from the door to the basement, looking around.

"What hap-" he started to ask, before seeing his mother and father.

"What happened to Dad!?" he exclaimed.

"Is he all right!?"

Cain looked to his mother's game... saw that a group of unfriendlies was coming towards her character, and rushed to the chair.

"Good thing I know how to play this..." he muttered to himself.

Meanwhile, Azazel was carried up to the bathroom, and said nothing as Aedan prepped him.

"Sorry." he apologised.

"Can't really do much..." he said.

"Hard to... stay awake..." he then admitted.

"...I don't know." Azazel replied.

"I was just checking up on something Sharp asked me to, and was about to report back to him, when she showed up." he replied.

"She toyed with me, tried to seduce me..." he went on.

"She... she tried to get me back into being one of her family's toys." he mumbled.

"...and she even said that..." he then said, before something clicked.

Finally.

"....Anya might be in danger!" he exclaimed.

Azazel shook his head.

"No, no." he said.

"She didn't say that Anya might be in danger." he told her.

"She actively hinted heavily towards her being injured." he went on.

"She actually said that Anya wasn't doing well... and commented about how she liked it that spiders... bled blue." he continued.

"She wouldn't lie about that if she felt that my knowing this would torment me." he then said.

"...I'm scared Anya might be injured and in trouble."

"...." Azazel was silent, and just sighed.

"Fine." he said.

"I can understand that." he told her.

"I'm just worried that Anya might be laying somewhere bleeding out, and nobody around to help her, or nobody knowing she's there." he said, his voice growing more and more anxious.

"...also, I didn't technically get away." he then revealed.

"I was about to pass out, and she was coming for me, but... she suddenly just... left."

"I don't know." Azazel replied.

"But she just abruptly left." he told her.

"I don't understand it. But it happened." he went on.

"I'm confused, nervous, and suspicious." he said further.

"And terrified that Anya might be dying." he then sighed heavily.

"But as I am, right now, I'm useless." he lamented.

Azazel just sighed.

"All right." he replied.

"40 minutes." he told her.

"....." he was then silent, and looked at his body.

"If... if I can get up after that." he mumbled.

"I used up... a LOT of mana." he admitted.

"But that's an understatement." he went on.

"I'm lucky I made it back HERE."

When she looked back, Azazel just nodded.

He then slipped his entire body under the water, head and all.

Normally that would be seen as a potential problem, but he was a demon.

He didn't need air. He didn't need to breathe. Not in the conventional sense, anyway. This was him literally just trying to get the absolute full effect of the oil, and if he went unconscious under there, it was nothing to worry about.

She then made her way down to where Cain was... to find him doing a raid boss.

"Come on!" he said into the headset.

"One more Holy Smite from you, Cleric, and... YES!" he exclaimed.

"...." he was then silent, as loot was dropped and picked up.

"Oh, sweet. She'll like THAT." he muttered, referring to his mother, of course.

Cain jumped a little when she spoke, not having realised she was there.

"....I don't... know." he said.

"Maybe I thought it was weird..." he muttered.

"For the life of me, can't think WHY..." he then admitted.

"I can make a new toon and-" he started to say, before snapping his fingers.

"The server you frequent!" he remembered.

"I can't stand about half of the people that populate it." he told her, looking back to the screen.

"Yeah, already the abuse is being thrown out to others, even though the raid party won." he grumbled.

"....fair." Cain replied.

"Then I see no reason why NOT..." he admitted.

He then pressed a button and the toon was teleported to their base, where she would be safe.

"Right." he then said.

"Answers." he went on.

"What's going on with Dad?" he asked.

"Is he okay?" he asked further.
