Anya didn't say anything, but he could see that the fact that he was there for her, with her, was something that she was extremely appreciative of. It was possible that it was the only thing really keeping her from losing her mind to the the inexplicable terror for the moment, even.

"Angie was saying that I'd be stuck here for a few days, at least." She added, her voice quiet, a bit subdued.

"and that I'm lucky to be alive as it is." She continued.

"... how did you end up unscathed?" She asked, her tone curious.

Anya was silent for a moment. She wasn't sure what to make of that, but she knew that there was definitely something going on.

The question was what.

She didn't know if she believed about the hex bag, but she did know that there was a chance.

She just had something in the back of her mind that said this wasn't the first time this had happened, but something was blocking it.

She had no idea what the hell it was, though.

Anya was silent for a moment.

"I ...I know. Thank you." was all she said, her voice quietly.

She was silent as she made her way through the parking garage. She was walking through it to get back to the internal lab, some results that she had acquired throughout her trip out. She also had a need to make sure that they were aware of something.

She had a blooming headache, and it was borderline a migraine.

Which is why she missed Azazel as she walked by him getting out of his car. It's also why she missed the shadow hoving over him.

However, when he cried out, she whirled around to see wht was going on, just in time to see a shadow of some sort fade, vanish.

Hazel was entirely stunned. She didn't know whwat it was that she'd just seen, what it was that was going on there.

What she did know, was that she saw Azazel's prone form on the ground, with his dark, cool grey, mana collecting at his head. That wasn't super unusual, she knew what he was and knew that a good bit of demonic mana was mental, but she also saw it pulsing. Fast.

"Azazel?" She asked, a bit surprised before shaking her head and making her way over to him.

She crouched down and shook him lightly. When he didn't respond, she quickly hefted him onto her back and started to make her way inside again, using her keycard to get in the door and avoiding the main entrance.

"I ... I don't know." Hazel answered honestly.

"I mean that too." She added.

"His mana is collecting and pulsing in his head though." she continued.

"I think someone, something? redirected it. and it's causing problems."

Hazel was silent for a no oment.

"I think you love faster than I do. However, I am on my way there regardless." She added.

"And with that, since he needs help that I do not believe either of us can provide, I am going to take my leave." with that, she continued on her path down there.

It didn't take long, and when she arrived, they were prepared and waiting. He was whisked away, and she just sighed before taking a seat.

She wasn't there long before getting to her feet and heading off. Her headache wasn't a medical problem, it was a lab problem, she was sure.

So she wanted to head down there to get something for it, as she knew they tended to have.

"Borderline migraine." was Hazel answered honestly.

"Not sure if that's because it's me, or if it's because of something with what you had me test." She added with a sigh.

"I would most certainly appreciate having something to help that, if at all possible."

Probably because of her mana. was the response he received.

Give her one of my mints. It should help, and quick followed a few seconds later.

I'll be there once I'm not elbow deep in acid. Followed. That wasn't too surprising, it was known that she was working on something that even Ilias couldn't get involved in. It was something that any mana could completely fuck it up, so she was using severe blockers to prevent her mana from interfering.

Meanwhile, Hazel merely followed Ilias.

Hazel accepted the mint with a small nod.

"Yeah, all right." She said simply. The pain was definitely noticeable, but after she popped the mint, it wasn't hard to tell that it was helping.

They were silent as they sat at the table, watching the people milling about the room. They weren't eating, but it wasn't something that was too surprising. Their natural form had no need to eat.

However, they did make it a point to from time to time in that form, as they did rather enjoy it.

The one watching everyone out of curiosity smirked. They heard that. They had a connection, after all. Even if he wasn't entirely aware of it.

The person shook their head before looking around. When they saw Chris, they got to their feet and approached.

"We need to talk." her voice was softer, less ethereal than it had been before. It was rather jarring, if one was to be honest.
