My husband is going to start a new job soon. He won't be home much.
I've been mentally in a yucky place for a few days. Too much change.

@Koah: too much stress, I'd say. It's not easy to be sick, have sick kids, or any combination thereof... add in the fact that you've got a newborn at home dealing with all this, drama from roommates and then a job change... yeah... it's a lot. I was honestly wondering how you managed to start a garden in the middle of all of that, so I'm relieved that you didn't quite get there yet - you need a small break, imo, and although a garden can be fun, it's also work and attention. How are you holding up with everything? You sound stressed...
My plan is to be super lazy. lol
I do have today off, and I'm going to enjoy it.
Yesterday I did talk with my manager over some things that concerned me over the weekend, and uh I can't remember which meeting I was supposed to have. Thursday I start my lead training though. :3

I'm a little nervous about it to be honest.
@Another Movie Addict: Yeah, I can imagine that you would be - starting something new is always at least a little nerve-wracking. But, I'm sure you'll be fine :3 Is there anything in particular you're worried about with this new position?
There's a lot of things to be nervous about. Interacting with other people as a boss, dealing with higher ranking people in the company, things like that.
Ahhh... yeah... management. It's a bit of an adjustment -especially if you haven't done anything like that before- but you're smart, and seem able to "read the room" reasonably well. I'm sure you'll adjust quickly. :3
Adaptation is my greatest skill lol.
Well, there ya go! It will probably be weird for a little while, but again, I'm sure you'll be fine. You should adapt pretty well, and pretty quickly, I'd think :3
The thing I very concerned about is that I'm moving up to become my best friend's boss.

Good. That's necessary, imo... but especially if you're stepping up the ladder. It sounds like you two have set up some good groundwork, but if your new position makes you uncomfortable around her, you might want to talk to her and just make sure you're on the same page, and that everyone knows that whatever happens professionally doesn't affect your friendship, etc.........
