The blonde saw her wave to him, and waved back.
"Seems nice enough." he said.
"Doesn't look like much of a fighter, though..." he went on. "...but then again, neither do I." he chuckled.
He then finished off his drink, and cracked his knuckles.
"Right then. Guess it's time to rumble, soon."

It wasn't long after, only about five minutes before the two were in the ring and facing each other.
"Well, this'll be fun, I think." She said with a smirk.
"We putting any rules in place?" She then asked, her voice curious as she looked across the ring to her opponent.
"Two." the blonde replied.
"The first one is that no killing intent." he said.
"We're sparring, not survival training." he reasoned.
"And we're in here until someone can't stand on their own effort." he told her.
"Beyond that, use whatever you have at your disposal, both physical and mana-related, to make sure I can't stand up without assistance." he said further.
"I'll be doing the same to you."

Lily just smirked.
"Perfect." She said before there was a countdown for the beginning of the fight. As the fight actually started, Lily didn't seem to do anything... mere moments before he felt vines wrapping around his ankles. Surprisingly solidly.
"Huh?" the blonde muttered as he looked down.
"Woah!" he exclaimed, as he tugged at the vines, to find that they were impressively strong.
He then sighed and concentrated his physical energy into his leg muscles, and managed to tear himself away from the grasping vines.
"Ngh!" he grunted, as he pulled away.
"Damn." he said.
"You've got some strong vines there." he told her, before firing a brightly glowing orb of mana directly at her.

"You sound surprised!" Lily replied as she flipped outta range of the orb. It hit the ropes and fizzled outta existence.
"Oh come on, how about you actually try?" She asked, taunting him with a laugh as she ran to get behind him. She was definitely faster than expected, but he could keep up with her.
She'd expected that though.
As he continued to turn with her, he noticed his feet were starting to stick to the mat more and more.
The blonde was keeping up with Lily as she circled him... and easily, at that.
However, he then noticed something strange.
'Huh?' he thought.
'I need to exert more strength to keep up with her as time goes on. Is she getting faster?' he wondered.
'Or... am I getting... slower...?' he then thought.
With that thought, he realized it was getting more and more difficult to move his feet, so he quickly glanced down to see what was happening.

When he looked, he saw that there was something coating the mat, and his feet.
And it was an extremely sticky substance at that.
Lily, meanwhile, seemed to get faster and faster, in comparison. She didn't keep going forward, she instead opted to come at his back with a fist, aiming for the small of his back due to knowing that can put someone outta the running for a bit if hit right.
The blonde paused as he noticed that Lily wasn't in his field of view any longer.
'CRAP!' he yelled mentally.
He knew he didn't have the time to rip free of whatever was coating the mat, so he had to react fast. Taking a calculated risk, he assumed Lily would be aiming to incapacitate him by hitting the small of his back, so he lurched forward with his legs, and arched his back in a crescent shape. While Lily's attack DID still hit, it hit with less impact than it normally would have, and the blonde used that brief moment afterwards to forcefully rip his feet free of the sticky substance, leap forward, and turn around so he was facing her again.
"Ow..." he grumbled.

"Heh. Nicely done." Lily commented after a moment.
"Think you can still continue on?" She asked as he watched the subdstance seem to melt into the mat, disappearing from view and everything.
"Although I don't think I hit you that hard."
The blonde just cracked his back, seemingly violently with how loud it was, and smirked.
"I've had worse." he told her.
"A LOT worse." he said.
With that, he brought his hands forward, and created another glowing orb. But this one didn't fly right towards her. This one hovered in place for a moment, before rising upwards.
When it reached a certain point, it just stopped and hovered... but the glow started to get brighter and brighter... to the point where the light was actually blinding.

Lily ducked her head down, a hand above to try and sheild her eyes. That was far too bright, and that was his intention - she fully realized that.
Dammit, this puts me at a disadvantage if he can see... she thought before trying to decide what it was that she should do. After a split second, she decided to have vines go up and start encasing the orb, start encasing the light. It was the best way to do it, she thought.
The vines did, indeed, start to encase the orb and dim the light... but when she could see again, she saw the blonde.
He was almost standing under her.
And then she noticed he was in the middle of swinging his fist right at her, aiming right for her stomach.
'Gotta connect before all that light is smothered.' he thought, as he swiftly brought his fist towards her gut.

Lily hadn't been abl eto fully dodge the incoming attack. She was quick enough to move, but he still hit her. Instead of her torso though, instead it had hit her hip, and hit it hard. She was sent back before hitting the ropes around the ring.
"Ow." she muttered.
"That'll likely be a nasty bruie." She added before shaking her head and looking to see where her opponent was. She saw him coming for her, and did the first thing she could think of.
She had a massive amount of petals from any and every plant she could think of rush for him, alkmost like they were moving on a strong wind.
She didn't know what all was in there, but she knew it should slow him down and give her a chance to breathe, at least.
Sure enough, the petals surrounded her opponent, and started to surround him like they were a cyclone.
He took a few steps back, but when he tried to charge forward again, the petals all seemed to collapse onto him, and stick on his body, as though glued to him.
Her foe then took a few more steps back, as the ball of light from before vanished, the few rays shining from between the vines faded out, showing he had needed to concentrate to keep it glowing.
He frantically tried to pull some of the petals off of him, only for some to emit a light green mist, which caused him to start coughing violently.

When Lily saw the mist, she froze for a moment. That was completely unexpected, but she didn't care. A few seconds later, her face twisted into a grin. A rather malicious one too.
"I didn't know I had those in there." She commented before laughing. It was dark, and made the skin of those that heard it crawl.
"Perfect!" She added before added more to him, although the petals that she added were all random.
After a few more seconds, the coughing stopped.
And was replaced by wheezing, with the sound of something gurgling in his throat.
Then, he seemed to have a few convulsions where he stood, and looked like he was trying to claw at his throat and chest.
However, nothing seemed to be accomplished by this, and he merely collapsed to the mat, motionless and still.
"SOMEONE GET EMELIE!" one of the hunters watching the fight screamed.
"I THINK ADDISON'S DYING!"

When Lily heard about him dying, she was at war within herself.
Part of her was appalled that she was driving this as far as she was.
But part of her... part of her was relishing it. She loved it, and she wanted to finish it, finish him.
She managed to bite that back though - somehow. It was one thing that was different between her mother and herself. She could bite back the urge to kill when she was given such a perfect chance like this. Anna? She'd never be able to.
As someone headed off to get Emelie, the petals vanished from her opoonent, moments before she ran forward, toward him, and got on her knees. Using the medical, first aid more specifically, lessons that her mother had been teaching her since she was old enough to walk, she started to do what she could to help, and that included bringing forth blooms to help.
She knew a lot of what was needed to do, if only just because of the fact that she'd realized waht it was that was going on.
"Don't worry, you won't die to me." Lily promised him, not entirely sure that he was even conscious. Of course, she realized that he couldn't die there. The ring had a special charm around it that prevented any and all deaths, but she had to do something to ensure his survival ones he left there. So she was.
The one she had been fighting, Addison, didn't say anything.
Or... do anything. He didn't really move. Or breathe too much.
He just laid there. Silent and still, his eyes barely showing any signs of life, and blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
"Holy hell..." she heard one hunter mutter.
"I've never seen Addison lose so badly..." they said further.
"Dani's probably not gonna like this..." another added.

"There is no shame in deterrence. Having a weapon is very different from actually using it." - Ghandi
"Probably not... something tells me that the girl's done." Another hunter commented as Emelie made her way into the room. She approached the ring and had collected Addison, using her mana to leave quick, leaving Lily with those around.
"I... I'm goin gto go tell Dani. I don't think she'll like the information, but someone has to say it." One of the hunters said before heading off to do that. Lily meanwhile, just cursed lightly before climbing out of the ring and sitting where she'd been before. She saw the looks she was getting.
She wasn't there for long before everyone in there felt an extremely oppressive sensation in the room. Moments later, Dani, the woman in question had made her way into the room and over to Lily. Before the blonde could look toward her, she'd been forced to her feet by Dani grabbing her collar.
"You nearly killed the wrong person, Lily." She stated, her voice promising violence. Lily just looked toward the older woman, and smirked. This was very much like she was used to from her mother.
"Oh? Really now." Lily stated, her voice calm.
"Whoda thunk I could." She added with a light shrug, before being thrown into the ring by Dani, who was obviously pissed.
At this rate... someone might need to stop her before she did something unpleasant. It was rare to see her temper spark like this, but her son's life was certainly one to cause it.
