Aria slowly went over to him,"Well now that I know that, I can say I feel a lot better." She admitted,"I know it's silly, but sometimes hearing it is all a girl needs to feel better." She stopped a few feet away from him. She wanted to hug him tightly but she didn't just yet. "So knowing you want this to work, and knowing I want this to work, why don't we just start fresh, starting now? No more tension, no more frustration, just the two of us taking the time and working together to make things work. I know you'll be helping the king with work and when that's happening, I will keep myself occupied. But I will love the chance to spend time with you when you are free."
"If that's all you wanted to hear, you could have just told me you know. Instead it seems like you avoid me at all costs. I don't blame you though, I'd avoid me too if I could." Lyle said simply then smirked at what she said then. "You want me to pretend like nothing every happened?" he asked her honestly, raising his perfect eyebrow as his purple eyes looked at her. "You really are full of surprises." he said with a smile.
"Not exactly." Aria smiled,"I want to be free of all the tension so I'm letting all the bad feelings go. Starting right now." She leaned down and kissed his cheek softly,"I love you." She said softly, hoping he was able to see how much she meant it.
"Good. You should have done that days ago...dear." he said and laughed softly. "You need to trust me. If I didn't want this, I would have chosen Claudette. I chose you for a reason, you need to keep that in mind." Lyle pointed out seriously, shaking his head when she kissed his cheek, trying not to blush. "Hmm... I don't know..."
Aria nodded,"I'll start remembering that now." She said She smiled, seeing his face go a little red. She gave him a gentle hug, making sure not to make it a long one so he wouldn't be uncomfortable.
"Good for you." he said quietly and reached up, slowly taking her hand in his. "Are you going to sleep now?" he asked her softly and nervously looked up at her. He could never be upset at her for long, she always managed to break him. Whenever he thought he was tall and mighty she would come around and make him nothing.
Aria smiled,"I thought, if things were alright, you might want to read with me for a little bit." She said,"But I understand if you don't want to tonight." She was thankful things were calm now and you could tell by her demeanor that she felt better.
Lyle let go of her hand and thought about it for a moment before standing. "If that is your wish, very well then. I'm not opposed to reading with you." he answered and kissed her forehead, knowing she wouldn't be expecting it. It was always fun to surprise her.
Aria smiled and hugged him gently again, unable to stop herself,"I'm happy to hear that." She said, letting him go. She was excited to be able to read with him since they hadn't been able to in a while. She walked with him out of the room and towards her room.
Lyle followed her to her room and looked over at her pet then back at her. "You seem very happy. I don't think I've ever seen you this happy before." he commented, approaching her bed. He wondered what tomorrow would be like, but he had a feeling he'd just be too busy to really do anything and he still wasn't looking forward to meeting this prince person.
Aria nodded,"Of course I am." She said, grabbing their book and sitting beside him on the bed,"Who's turn was it to read? Yours or mine?" She didn't mind who read, as she was looking forward to relaxing and reading with him.
Like a good student, Lyle raised his hand just a bit since no matter how long they knew each other he was still pretty shy and nervous around her. It was a feeling he dind't think he could ever get accustomed to. "My turn." he whispered and took the book from her. Opening to where they left off, he made sure he was comfortable then started to read softly to her, making sure to change his voice for every character that spoke.
Aria nodded. She kissed his cheek and snuggled against him, listening quietly as he read aloud to her. She loved hearing him read. If she could have him read to her every night she would, but she didn't see that as fair to him. She closed her eyes and listened quietly, using her imagination to see the story.
When Aria kissed his cheek, Lyle had to stop reading and look away. He was blushing of course, he was flustered now which was making it hard to focus on reading. Letting out a deep breath, he looked back at the book and found where he had left off before continuing to read aloud to her. They couldn't do this all the time, but that was okay with him. It made the times when they could mean much more.
After a couple of hours, Aria let out a soft yawn,"I hate to interupt you," She said softly as he ended a chapter,"But I think we should get to sleep. I know you must be tired as well and I don't want to keep you up too late." She hugged him gently,"Thank you for reading with me for a little while." She said,"I know we can't do this all the time, but I love it when we can."
Lyle stopped reading and looked at her. "Oh..well alright then. If you're tired you should get some sleep. I don't want to keep you up either." he answered, closing the book and putting it away. "Oh stop..." he whined and chuckled. "You very much enjoy making me flustered don't you? I should punish you for that, but I won't." Lyle smiled and kissed the tip of her nose. "I love it too Aria. Goodnight and sweet dreams." he answered quietly before getting off her bed and walking out of her room, closing her door behind him then walked to his room.
"Goodnight, Lyle. Sleep well." She said as he left her room. She smiled over at Gambit, who had been watching them, looking content,"Gambit. You don't know how happy I am right now." She said, unable to stop her smile as she went into her room to change. She was thankful too because a maid she was still friends with had told her while tidying up Lyle's room, she had found the paper she had written on earlier that day, the one Gambit was playing with earlier. She had since put it away, not wanting to bring up the frustrations again. Not when they had finally got on the same page
Lyle walked into his room and closed the door behind him. He wasted no time in getting dressed, washing his face and brushing his teeth. When he had done that, he walked to his window and looked out at the night sky for a short while. Tomorrow was going to be interesting. "Goodnight world." he muttered to himself then crawled into bed and drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, Aria woke up with a smile, excited to see what the day would bring. She got up, took a quick bath, and changed into one of her best dresses since the company coming over was very important. She smiled as she came downstairs and entered the dining room,"Good morning, Your Highnesses." She said.

"Oh good morning dear, how are you feeling today?" The queen asked and noticed that Lyle still wasn't down. "Strange, he's usually here by now." she said softly. "Must be getting ready, you know how indecisive he can be when important occasions come up." The king reminded. Lyle had been up early and showered but now he was in a towel looking through his clothing. He wanted to make a good impression. Well he didn't really care but he didn't want the visitor to think him a fool or anything.
