Aria smiled,"Much much better." She said,"Lyle and I talked some more last night. And it went much better this time." She stretched a bit and couldn't stop smiling. She was just so happy things were good again. She would offer to go and make it for him, but she wasn't a maid anymore and it wouldn't be acceptable for her to do so, even though she wouldn't mind since she was making it for him.
"Look at that smile, something good must have happened while we were away." The queen teased, causing her husband to shake his head and laugh. "Dear, you shouldn't embarrass poor little Aria." he hinted quietly. "What? I'm just being honest." she countered. "Honest about what, mother?" Lyle asked, walking into the dining room wearing black with gold accents. "Your mother was just teasing Aria about why she looked so happy. How did you sleep Lyle?" his father asked. Lyle looked for his cup of coffee as he answered, "I see, well she shoudln't be so cruel and I slept just fine father. My coffee isn't here.." he said as if that was the most important thing in the world and pouted slightly. "Did they forget?" The queen asked. "Strange, they had your father's coffee ready."
Aria smiled,"I can take a little teasing every now and then." She said. She frowned when she found out Lyle hadn't gotten his cup of coffee,"How odd. They are usually so good with remembering that."
Just then, a servant walked in and set down Lyle's coffee right in front of him and quickly left. They had to get things ready for when the guest arrived. Lyle stared at his coffee and picked it up then blew on it before taking a small sip and setting it down. "Good." he said quietly. "Mother, when is our guest arriving?" he asked. "Our guests should arrive shortly after breakfast. If not, by lunch." she answered. "Let's not worry about them until they actually show up. Let's just enjoy our breakfast now that Lyle's got his coffee." The king commented with a smile.
Aria smiled and nodded, sitting down with them and relieved Lyle got his coffee. She started to eat with the others, quietly listening as they chatted about other things, sometimes giving a little input herself.
A visiting prince. Why would he even want to meet them? Maybe he was just as uncomfortable about this as he was, maybe they had that one thing in common. Maybe he was more stuck up than him though. Lyle thought to himself as he listened to the conversation at the table. Well...somewhat anyway. "I think we won't be able to get work done today Lyle. I think your mother wants us out there, socialize." The queen smiled. "Come now, he's new. We must make him feel welcomed. Besides, you can work tomorrow." The queen explained.
Aria was glad that Lyle wouldn't have to work so much today and that they could spend the day spending time with their visitor. She continued to eat her breakfast, wondering when this visitor will be arriving. She looked over at the Queen,"So our visitor is only here for today?" She asked,"Or is there a chance he might want to stay longer?"
"Yes...I suppose we can." Lyle agreed, eating his breakfast and looking up when the phone rang. A servant answered then came back and looked at the queen. "They wish to speak to you, your highness." the servant explained. The queen looked confused but excused herself and left to get the phone. "It must be them." The king suggested. "Why would they call so early?" Lyle asked. "Must be excited to meet us I suppose." his father answered.
Aria wondered too, but didn't say anything. She continued to eat her breakfast, having been really hungry that morning. She took a sip of her milk, thinking quietly to herself.
"A shame I can't say the same." Lyle muttered seriously. "Come now Lyle, don't be like that. Who knows, you might end up befriending the visitor." his father pointed out, taking another bite of his food and drinking his coffee. Lyle hoped that they'd be friends but Lyle knew himself and he didn't exactly open up to people right away. All his life being sheltered, opening up was nearly impossible. It took him a while to even talk to Aria on a daily basis. "Well then, we'll just see about that." Just then the queen walked back in and took her seat. "What did they say?" her husband asked. "They're on their way." she said quietly. "Wow, not the patient kind are they?" Lyle said with a smirk.
Aria nodded when the Queen spoke,"How long do you think it will take them to get here?" She asked, wondering if they would have time to finish their breakfast at least before their visitors came over.
The queen took a bite of her breakfast as Aria asked her question and looked at her after drinking her water. "We'll be fine dear. They live a few ways away so we should be able to finish out breakfast before they arrive. When they do show up, maybe you kids can go for a walk with the visitor and your father and I will stay here and talk to the adults." she suggested.
Aria nodded,"Sounds like a good idea, Your Highness." She smiled, finishing her glass of milk. She soon finished up her breakfast and wiped her mouth politely
"Do we have to? I wanted to stay indoors and practice my piano skills." Lyle said, finishing up his coffee and continuing to eat his meal. "Give it a try Lyle, fresh air will do you some good. Besides, you haven't really been out. It should be fun." he father answered. "That's the point father, I haven't been out. I don't know what it is people do for fun out there." Lyle said, finishing up his food and looking upset about the whole thing. "You'll survive dear." his mother said simply.
Aria looked a bit nervous, seeing Lyle look upset,"We could always come in after the walk and you can show your piano skills." She said.
Lyle wiped his mouth as he was accustomed to doing and looked at Aria. "It's fine Aria. I'll make the sacrifice to spend a few hours outside doing...well I don't know what but we'll figure it out." he admitted quietly. When breakfast was over, the king and the queen made sure appetizers and desserts were prepared for their guests. "Seems like everyone is excited to meet this person." Lyle said quietly as he watched his parents ordering servants around.
Aria stood with him and nodded,"It is always nice to meet new people." She said. She was nervous. She hoped Lyle and the prince would be able to get along. She worried there could be a fight if someone took something said the wrong way.
"I suppose..." Lyle answered and started walking towards the piano room. The least he could do was practice before he was forced to be friendly. How hard could it be to put on a happy face and introduce himself. He didn't have to be friends with the guy and after today he was sure he'd never see the guy again which was nice.
Aria was going to follow, wanting to listen when he played, but she didn't want to be a bother to him. So she kind of just waited around, not wanting to get involved in anything in case they arrived.

Lyle walked inside and quickly sat at the piano and took a deep breath before starting to play something just for practice. He would have wanted to play a harder song but he wasn't sure how much time he had to waste so something somewhat easier would have to do for now. He was dreading for the knock on the front door to be heard and he cursed himself quietly when the knock finally came after a while, causing his song to come to an abrupt end. The queen looked at the door and motioned for her husband to follow as they walked over and answered the door. "Hello, it's so nice of you to drop by!" she said to her friend, moving so that they could all enter the house. Lyle stared at the piano and frowned but forced himself to leave and check on the visitors. "Hello! Oh we just had to introduce you to Troy. He's visiting here and I though perhaps he'd get along with your boy despite him being two years older than Lyle." the woman said as she motioned towards a tall and handsome blonde haired male.
