"Wow." he muttered.

"Yeah..." Azazel said.

"I'm... that's just... wow." Zeke said.

"So she's coming here?" he asked Azazel.

"She's just here to try and get something to help her blend in." Azazel clarified.

"Ahhh, gotcha." Zeke nodded.

"Well... good luck." he said to Lilim.

"...it's impressive you escaped, actually." he then added.

'Hijacked a necromancers rune." Lilim then said simply.

"Your father, actually, stopped by to help out." She added with a shrug. She pausd after a few seconds though, and let out a sigh. It was a low, barely audible breath.

". . . I'm going to be honest, here. For once." She then said. "I'm fucking terrified. I know that they can find me, no matter where I am. They can see everywhere up here. I can't find anything down there without going there myself, and doing that would be my death almost instantly." On one hand, she wasn't sure why she was admitting that, but she also wasn't that surprised. She was used to being honest with Azazel, and if he trusted Zeke, then sure. Plus she knew Zeke was similar to her, in the sense that she and him were both ... not exactly liked by thier family.

Zeke just crossed his arms over his chest.

"Well... hmmm." he mumbled.

"There's not a whole lot on this plane to protect her from that." Azazel admitted.

"That being said, the archangels will have an eagle eye on her. Both for her own behaviour, and to watch out for any others trying to come to the surface to start shit." Zeke responded.

"It's not perfect by any stretch, but it MAY be a deterrent." he went on with a small shrug.

"And if she hangs out with you, doesn't she have SOME protection, given your position?" he then asked Azazel.

"Paper-thin." Azazel responded.

"Yes, as the keeper of Cerberus, I technically rank higher than then, but... you know what the boss is like? She'll save ME, but probably won't lift a finger to help Lilim." he added.

"...ok, fair..." Zeke sighed.

Lilim paused before looking to Azazel.

"Wait, you do?" She asked.

"Huh. I knew you were the keeper of her mutt, but I didn't know you outranked the originals." She added before hsrugging.

"Regardless, you're totally right. the bitch would never step in to help a reject like me. I mean hell, I was rejected, I've been banished. Tehcnically, I'm not even her problem anymore."

"Well, I technically don't really 'rank' any longer." Azazel replied.

"As a direct assistant to her, in maintaining Cerberus, I exist as a separate entity. So on one hand I do, on the other hand, I don't." he continued.

"It's confusing." he said.

"But the long and short of it, is that I can use the boss as a threat, if someone tries to do anything to me." he explained further.

"...hate doing that, though." he then muttered.

"So the summary is that you're on very thin ice." Zeke said to Lilim.

"That's... whole new levels of shit." he commented quietly.

Lilim just shrugged.

"Technically, I've always been on thin ice." She commented.

"We originals are meant to be 'perfect examples of what a demon should be'." She commented, a mocking tone to her voice.

"And even if boss lady doesn't care, the others do. Sooo, the fact that I'm not quite as bitchy as I should be, or the fact that i'm a bit on the lazy side and prefer not to get my hands dirty, really... doesn't sit well with them." She continued with a shrug.

"As a result, I'm stuck here on the surface until this place eats me alive, as I'm pretty sure it will in one way or another,."

"And I'm here to help her in any way I can." Azazel responded.

"...especially since one can argue I'm one of the reasons that she's not seen as a perfect example of what a demon should be." he then admitted quietly.

"Eh?" Zeke muttered.

"Lilim's family... well... they technically... owned me." Azazel mumbled.

"...owned...?" Zeke asked. "As in... a slave?" he asked further.

"Yes." Azazel confirmed.

"As a demon on a much lower tier than her and her family, I was... well... essentially beaten and battered and such, and taken back to Lilim, as a 'present'." he explained to the nephilim.

"And... you know how I have a broken horn?" he then asked.

"...yeah...?" Zeke mumbled.

"They had Lilim do it. It was to solidify her 'ownership' of me." Azazel said quietly.

Lilim paused a moment before looking to Azazel.

". . . . I had honestly forgotten about that." She admitted.

"But yeah... To say that this one here literally belongs to me would... be an understatement." She added.

"It's something that I know he isn't too fond of, either." She added before shrugging.

"But being contracted to take care of Boss' mutt gave him most of his freedom back. The horn, though... That's a whole nother story."

"...Sharp's gonna need to hear that." Zeke muttered.

"We're on our way to see him now." he said further.

"I suppose we should be going, then." Azazel said to Lilim.

"See ya." Lilim said with a sigh before following Azazel up to Sharps office. On the way, there were mutlitple people they came across, but most avoided them... mostly her. She had a rather unsettling appearance and it was enough to turn people away usually.

"So tell me, are you helping because you feel you have to, o rbecause you honestly want to?" She asked as they stepped into the entry area before his office.

"Because I find I'm actually curious. Makes no difference to me, mind."

"Ever since I arrived at Lex's, there's been some strange things going on in my mind." he told her.

"I... if I were to wager a guess, it's a little of one, little of the other." he then said.

"But I'd also assume it's more the want to, as opposed to feeling I have to." he added.

"I can tell that there is some, trust me. I can feel it as much as you can, just in a different manner." She added before Az approached the reception. They were told to sit and so they did.

"When a dark elf isn't bolstered by demonic mana, we're completely immune to it." he then informed her.

'None of the others down low were able to do anything to me. I knew about the immunity, and it's largely because their mana comes from us, in essence." She then said. "It's a mortal version of demonic mana, the original mortal version."

"aah... Yes. The Encrae line." She commented before sighing again.

"Mother wants the current head." She told him honestly.

"Plans on fighting with the boss for her soul." She added as the door to the office opened and someone left.

"The boss has been waiting for her soul for a looooong time." he mumbled.

The receptionist then said something into the comm system, before beckoning them inside.

"Come on." Azazel told Lilim.

With that, the two of them entered the office, and Sharp looked at them.

"...welcome." he greeted them, but more specifically, Lilim.

Lilim followed Azazel into the room with a sigh before meetnig the gaze of the one that was there.

". . . I... have to admit one thing." She started. "I did NOT expect to see one such as you here." She paused a moment, looking him from head to toe (so to speak, as he was sitting behind a desk), before meetin ghis gaze again.

". . . You're no longer bound, are you?" She asked, her voice curious... and not realising how her knowing that so easily was likely to be something that would set him on edge.

Azazel just sighed heavily.

"I shouldn't be surprised that you can see through me." Hal then said to Lilim.

"From what it seems, you are from the upper echelon of demons." he commented.

"But if you are HERE, it means you need help, yes?" he asked.

"That's... one way to put it." She then said.

"My name is Lilim, and that's for ease as hearing it would cause any non-demonic minds to seize and be rendered useless." She added with a light smirk, wondering if he'd realise what her name meant.
