It was about an hour later before Kalin woke. When she did, she nearly freaked out as she wasn't somewhere she recognized, before realising that she didn't hurt nearly as much as she had earlier in the day.
"Oh. Right." She looked around, knowing where she was, but wondering if the man in question was around or not. Sure enough, she didn't see him.
She did see the note though. After reading it, she sighed.
". . you really need to work on your penmanship." She muttered before getting to her feet and looking around the place a bit. As she did so, she noticed that she heard water running down the hall.
"Guess he's in the shower..." she muttered before sighing and turning to head to the ktichen, curious as to what was available. Mostly because she wanted a drink though, not food.
Sure enough, when she opened the fridge, she found bottles of water. She grabbed one, cracked it open, took a drink, and spat it out in the sink.
"The hell..!?" She wondered with a bit of a wince. She was feeling better with her side, but that quick movement still hurt.
