Vincent wasted no time after he heard that.

Or, rather, he waited until his soul was (mostly) back into place, and then burst through the door.

What he saw was... unreal.

The rune was spread out everywhere, and it was potent. Scarily so. He almost retreated from it, before shaking his head, and looking at the two girls in the centre of it all... one trying to comfort the other.

He got as close as he could, before opening the metal box.

"Racquel." he addressed the one that was in control.

"We need to get one of these restrictors on Rowena." he told her, setting the box down.

"....." Vincent was silent for a moment, before nodding.

"Right." he said.

With that, he disappeared, leaving the box. Simple as that.

He appeared elsewhere in the world... specifically, near his sister's house, and sighed.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"I wonder..." he muttered, making his way to her front door and knocking on it.

Vincent just sighed.

"It's... kind of a long story." he said.

"But I seem to have the time, if you do." he went on.

"The really shortened version is that Rowena's mana and rune are out of control, and I am to vacate the grounds until Racquel can calm her down." he told her.

"The longer version is... well, even more unbelievable." he then sighed.

"Did I catch you at a bad time?" he asked.

Vincent entered the manor, and paused for a moment.

"....fine!" Hal's voice called back.

"Wait..." Vincent mumbled.

"Hold on." he said to Hollie.

"Don't tell me..." he went on, trailing off at the end of the thought.

"Is Hal...?" he started to ask, but didn't finish, knowing she would know where he was going with the inquiry.

"I am NOT a child, I merely LOOK like one." Hal insisted.

"......" Vincent was silent upon seeing Hal, before roared with laughter.

"Oh, this is amazing!" he exclaimed.

"Watch it, Remmington." Hal snarled at Vincent.

"Oh, relax." Vincent responded, as Hal approached the two of them.

"This is only temporary, and it's not serious at all." he assured him.

Vincent just sighed.

"High levels of emotion, combined with a natural spike in mana that occurs every so often. As in, every few generations or so." he said.

"How do you know this?" Hal asked.

"Ashleigh Encrae recalled it, and told me." Vincent answered.

"...well, fair enough then." Hal admitted. "But... high emotions, huh?" he then asked.

"Yes." Vincent said.

"Anger, stress.... passion..." he listed off, stressing the last one and eyeing him.

Vincent just sighed.

"They both look around 11." he told her.

"Both?" Hal asked.

"Yes, both." Vincent replied. "Rowena AND Racquel." he confirmed.

"And no, I don't know what could have been happening for it to happen to Racquel." he admitted.

"Quite frankly, I had more pressing matters than that." he said.

"Will Rowena be all right?" Hal asked.

"Racquel is helping her calm her mana, and they will be equipping her with restrictors." Vincent responded.

Hal just sighed.

"Agent King REALLY should be updated." he said.

"At least this isn't just me." he went on.

"And you'll be fine." Vincent assured him.

"This is just something that happens. It's... effectively, a natural phenomenon." he continued.

"That DOES reassure me." Hal told him.

"Good." Vincent said.

"But I WOULD like to stay here until I get word that it's safe again to enter my house." he then said to Hollie.

"If that's all right, of course." he added.

"As I said, Rowena's rune is out of control." Vincent said.

"Racquel is there helping her, but I almost lost my soul getting the restrictors to her." he went on.

"...that's alarming." Hal commented.

"Very." Vincent agreed.

"Racquel will contact me when Rowena's mana and the rune are under control." he continued.

"Which shouldn't be TOO terribly long, but still." he added.

Vincent shook his head lightly.

"Indeed." he said.

"I have faith in them, though." he told her, smiling softly.

"Hal, is anyone in YOUR circle affected?" he then asked Hal.

"Not... that I know of..." Hal admitted.

"Though I haven't been into work, so I just might not have heard." he admitted.

"That is fair." Vincent said in response.
