@CooperationIsKey: It is. Every single time my heart breaks a little. When had two ladies come into the store, looking for books to cut up for junk journals. And they took some old valuable Addams Family comics, since they were a comic strip before the shows and movies. I was so upset that day after they left.

@CooperationIsKey: I'd want to save those books too, and still do. But I've had to sort through abandoned estate books, and most of them are so moldy and decayed that there's nothing you can do.

@CooperationIsKey: Whenever I look at the photos with old books just scattered around, and think about rescuing those books. XD after working at a used bookstore, I understand why that doesn't happen. You know besides it being considered theft.
My photography teacher got a chance to go into that abandoned Six Flags in New Orleans, the one destroyed by Katrina.

@CooperationIsKey: Oh I loooooooooooooove abandoned stuff photos. It's so creepy and makes you want to explore it for yourself.
Yeah I don't really have a lot of urban explorer friends anymore. Or well any. Though most of the time I went exploring on my own. Except the asylum. My ex is the one who went with me on that one.

@Wildfire: It really is.
@Aisukohi: Uni is a character that I've attached to me the most out of the hundreds of characters I've created for various reasons. She was an orphan that two dwarves found washed up on the beach. She was maybe 4 or 5 and couldn't remember anything before she was found. They named her Unicorn Clearwater, because they're weird. And she is the very rare asexual bard.

They straight up took my sealed water bottle, and threw it away. But totally allowed my nurti-grain bar as long as I kept it in my purse. But they checked everything.

@Aisukohi: I actually spoke to some of the people involved with the convention, and did mention that the water situation wasn't ideal. So hopefully that's something they'll take into consideration for next time. Eventually I plan on adding armor pieces to my fursuit outfit thing. My fursona is based on my dnd character who is a Tabaxi bardlock. So she'll need potion bottles, some kind of instrument, armor, ect ect.
@CooperationIsKey: Man I haven't gone exploring in so very long. Mostly 'cause Florida gets fucking hot, and nowadays I don't really have the time or means for it anymore. I used to love exploring abandoned places. Like getting into an abandoned asylum we had in town, before it was torn down for an apartment complex.
@Wildfire: It's not really a water ban, as much as a I don't bring your own booze ban. Even though they sell booze at the damn venue. But it's also to keep out like drugs and shit. Though one of the security guards checking my bags were made a joke that I wasn't hiding vodka in my suit head.

See supporting locals is something I'm all for, even when it gets pricey. Lol I just bought home-made soap at the convention to support a local-ish vendor. And commissioned a friend for my partial fursuit.
But this was really shitty vendor food you get at like a high school football game. A cheeseburger that was nothing but buns, meat, and cheese was 6 dollars.

Like okay you don't want outside food and drink, that makes sense. You don't want bad things sneaking through. But that's when you provide things for people. And they did. They were just heavily overpriced. Like Disney prices for a shitty civic center.

Yeah no the water thing was dangerous for the fursuiters and the people in the bigger hotter cosplays. You need to stay hydrated when wearing those kinds of things. But this venue is owned by an entity that is well known for pulling shit like this. They say it's to keep outside booze and stuff out of the venue. But it's really to force you to pay 3$ for a water bottle.
The other convention does allow camel backs, and outside food and drink. So you can keep hydrated without bankrupting yourself. And they keep water stations all throughout the convention center.
My friend did bring in a camel back to keep hydrated, and they almost made her dump the whole thing out. Without knowing if she could refill it anywhere.

Well luckily that convention knows to keep plenty of water on hand for furries, since it's a furry convention. This one had a really bad water set up. The venue straight up took my water bottle, and banned the use of vending machines. You had to pay for their over priced water. They didn't even know if they had water fountains. We did eventually find some.

@Aisukohi: Oh that suit was super hot. My hair was drenched by the time I took the head off. But it was worth it.
My day sucked.
