Nah just another work day, my hours are going to get filled up big time. One of my coworkers got himself fired. >w> Because of something he said about me.

Man yesterday was fun and exhausting. Lol I had a photoshoot with a friend, they needed some promotional prints for a convention. We took the chance for them to also give me my fursuit. Then after all of that I had work. XD

Lol the Disney trip is going to get me through this work week. After today, nothing but openings. Which is a 5am wake up.

Same group of friends, and I'm looking forward to the Flower and Garden festival food stalls. The event foods look so good.

Doesn't matter in the slightest. The decision was made. Every other Dr. Seuss book is still being printed. Besides if people really want to keep books from a terrible awful human being, there's still Raold Dahl's books.

In some cases that might be a thing, but again. Not a single person said anything to Dr. Seuss's company/estate. They themselves decided that those imagines were no longer something they connected with, or cared to defend. This is a company taking accountability for something they themselves felt was harmful. So are we dividing ourselves because they wanted to do what they felt was the right thing?

Basically what I'm saying is that, nostalgia goggles make it pretty easy to sweep aside the problematic thing. Because if you admit that it was wrong, then you're wrong.

See to me it's a lot like this. Do either of you remember that episode of the Looney Tunes (Merry Melodies at the time), where Bugs Bunny puts on blackface and pretends to be a VERY racist image of a slave to get past someone?

Most people don't remember that episode at all, because it was banned. And sure at the time I'm sure people were upset about it, and yet. Here we are several decades later, and not a single person wants it back. Because 'well I loves that episode as a kid'. Doesn't matter that it's extremely harmful, but I just really loved that episode. We should you know just teach how it's wrong and let it continue to hurt a community, because history am I right?

I'm just hoping that I don't have to deal with anymore of it at work.
