Dude it is so easy to dehydrate yourself at the store. Because you get busy and totally forget to get some water. Even though I keep a water bottle with me, to keep hydrated.

I did. They were negative. Lol the theory is that I got sick from possibly being dehydrated.

Well the last one was back in November, and now this one. It's possible one of them were false positives. But this man is an idiot, so he could easily have just caught it twice.

He's out for another week. He's the coworker that tested positive for covid...for the second time.

I do enjoy it. Lol I like when I get to scan in the back, you get to find a lot of weird stuff. Gotta be careful though. Some people are idiots and put like broken glass and shit in the book boxes.

The cart I left for the person replacing me, had 102 items on it.

Basically whoever is in back sorts the books, tossing salvage and putting the keeps in areas for pricing. Then they make carts (like you see in libraries) for people in front to price and shelf. So when I'm in front I have to not only help customers, check people out at the register, and do covid cleaning. I have to also shelf as many product as I can. Just me. One person up front, one person in back. And we have to put out a cart an hour. I put out a 55 book cart and a 65 book cart yesterday.

New adult is indeed 18-20something. Basically books for people who are 'adults' but just barely. While normal young adult is like tweens and stuff. Which makes sense, both age groups have different experiences to relate to.

It is a huge box. So big that once you get to a certain point, you have to climb into the box to scan/sort. Lmao I have to have a stool in order to get back out.

We also have quotas on how many of the giant boxes we get done. One box an hour. Which is not even remotely possible.

Yes, we do that in the back. Basically we get giant boxes of books/vhs/dvds/ect, that we scan to see if our Amazon account wants them. Put the Amazon books to the side to be bought online. The books Amazon doesn't want then get sorted. We're pretty strict on what is in good enough condition. Also 'kids' books get sorted out for someone else to sort later. Kids has it's own section and person. Though 'kids' also includes young adult and new adult work too.

We don't sell that much a day no. But we put out that much so that we always look full of quality product.

Yes. Putting 'product' up on the shelves. Books, movies, cds, records, ect. We have to put out 450 items every day.

The downside to being busy is that we don't hit our production quota. Which is putting out 450 books a day.
