Yes, your avatar looks really cute! I love the bow with the hairstyle, and the bright shoes definitely make the outfit pop. ^^

@er henderson: Hello, you can earn volts from posting. Having your own thread in The Undercurrent is a good way to make a few volts, and you can post as much in your thread as you want! ^^ Of course, you won't get a lot of volts from your posts in this thread, but just keep posting and the little amount will eventually add up. :)

This was pretty interesting to read. :) During the rustle and bustle of my everyday routine, sometimes I find myself having similar thoughts as this.
It really is crazy how life went from nothing but simplicity, and now technology engulfs our lives.

Hmmm, now I'm really curious about trying one. :O Being a barista for so many years, I've always wanted to make a little "coffee shop" set up in my kitchen with an espresso machine, grinder, syrups, etc. I could get a cute little tea kettle and incorporate a variety of teas, as well. Aww, that'd be fun ^^

I’ve never used a tea kettle before. I’ve only ever used a microwave to make my teas. I’m interested in trying a kettle someday, though, just to see what it’s like.

Wow, this was very informative :velvethappy:

@Mellonin: just going to say I worked in a tea shop and I’ve lived in the UK (and I’m on vacation in the UK right now)
And I will tell you that Brits on average do not make tea correctly.
However you can make tea however you like. If it’s the way you like it, then that’s the right way for you.
If you are trying to make tea to achieve the best possible taste you will want something that boils an exact temp and you will set a timer to have to brew for a length of time.
Example:
Black Tea 95C/200F for 4-5 mins (don’t squeeze any bag at the end cause it can release tannins)
Oolong Tea 90C/185F 4 mins
Green Tea (depends on the type of green)
Chinese Green 80C/175F 3-4 mins
Japanese Green 65C/150F 1-2 mins
White tea 65-70C/150F-160F 1-2 mins
Herbal Tea 95C-200F (temp doesn’t really matter) for 5mins.

@gremlin: Hello, I have Counting Sheep (x2), Red's Revenge (x1), Rowdy (x1), His Elegance (x2), Her Grace (x1), Vampyr (x1), and Groundskeeper (x1). (Some items aren't listed in my shop, but I have extras in my inventory).
I wouldn't mind selling them to you if you're still interested in them. :)

@Sage: I'm sorry that I'm just now seeing this, but I'm grateful for your response. <3 After reading your response I did some thinking about your experiences and how you've managed to find better in your life, and it's inspired me to look on the bright side and put my worries behind me. Life can only go up from here, right? It's too soon to judge anything so anxiously, so I should focus on the benefits of change as opposed to settling for comfort. I still haven't started the new job yet and I'm still very nervous about starting, but there's a part of me that's really excited to see what lies ahead. Thank you for taking the time to respond to me and sharing your experience. <3
