Lyle smiled and nodded, because the truth was that he had enjoyed the stories very much. He was curled up comfortably against her when their lunch was brought to them along with his coffee. His coffee he didn't want now but accepted anyway. He had made sure to tell them how he liked it exactly and only hoped they had followed his instructions. "Thank-you." He told the servant who bowed and excused themselves. "It's fine. Just feels a little numb is all, but I am sure that's normal." Lyle answered her. The butler was in charge of taking care of Amalia in the meantime that the others ate lunch, he was instructed to make sure she was comfortable. The butler smiled at Troy. "Shall I order some of the finest jewelry for her as well sir? Or would you like to get her that yourself?" He asked before leaving back to check on Amalia who was nervously eating and staring out the blurry window. Troy blushed at what his butler said and quickly shook his head but before he could say anything the butler was gone.

The closer and closer he got to the park, the colder it seemed to get. Or maybe that was all in his head. Maybe he was actually nervous and he just didn't want to admit it to himself. Would he be able to get rid of him finally? What about Kaneko? She would probably mention not having seen Allen in a while. That is, if she's been hanging around him lately. She said she was at work, but she didn't mention Allen being there which had calmed the older man a bit. At least his daughter was safe for the moment. Reaching the park, he didn't see anyone at first until Allen came into view. Wait, he was actually here? What a surprise. He didn't think he'd be.

Lunch was being prepared and served to the others while the butler walked up to Amalia's room and knocked before stepping inside. Amalia was sleeping soundly. It seemed she just needed some rest to calm her nerves. "Miss, wake up. I've brought you lunch." He told her, gently rousing her from her sleep. Amalia blinked and looked around before slowly sitting up in bed and accepting her lunch. While this was going on, Troy found it strange that Lyle and Aria had not arrived. When he asked a servant about this, he was informed of their current situation. Right, Lyle was hurt, it only made sense that he wouldn't want to move and when the butler returned to inform him about the girl, Troy figured he'd check in on her again. You know, just as an act of pure politeness. Lyle curled up under the blanket, following along with Aria as she read. He even requested another cup of coffee from a servant, hoping it wouldn't be too much trouble.

"Strange, I expected more enthusiasm. She's quick to leave instead." Ares commented quietly to his wife who frowned and nodded. "She is in such a rush to see Eros instead. Well I've never been so insulted." Aphrodite frowned. Ares wasn't too happy about this, "A note?" Ares repeated. "Go on love, you need to go to work, I'll take this home and we should let her go. Come on now, let's go." With that, she vanished, she would check in on her son later. Ares looked at the girl from a distance and slammed the end of his spear on the floor before vanishing as well. His wife was right, he needed to work.

Ares stared at the sketch and was quiet for a moment. "It's impressive. I'll give it an A for effort. I still prefer the real thing though." He said, placing a kiss on her forehead. It was then that he noticed Sapphira just standing there. Ares looked at his wife and motioned towards Sapphira. "Seems we have been spotted." He said quietly to her. Aphrodite followed his gaze and noticed the girl was still there. "Do you think she is alright?" she asked him. "Shocked I believe." Ares answered quietly.

When Eros reached Sapphira's home, he knocked on the door and wondered if her father had already left or hadn't. Maybe it would be better to just check if he was already at work.

Lyle listened to her in silence, going so far as to rest his head carefully on her shoulder. When she stopped reading, he lifted his head and looked at her, why had she stopped? "It is?" He asked her, a little confused. Was it really already close to lunch time? "Yes please. If it's not too much trouble." He answered quietly, snuggling with her anyway. He was just really comfortable right now.

If he was a vampire, where would he be? The man panicked thinking that maybe the vampire knew where his daughter worked even though he was blind. Maybe he had followed her. He was quick to send his daughter a message to ask how she was doing so far. Kaneko had responded back saying she was fine, just tired but still had many hours left before she could go home. It was perfect, he thought so anyway. The man looked around, people were starting to head back home, the noise started to diminish and soon he would be the only one out here. He still wasn't even near the park, wasn't that where Kaneko had fist met Allen? He couldn't remember, but if it was then maybe Allen was still there. He knew where to go now, and so he started to make his way towards the park hoping to find the monster before it could get away.

The following morning right after breakfast, Ares headed out the door but instead of heading to work, he appeared at his temple just as the girl had finished and walked away. This mortal girl wanted to save them all, it was admirable. Aphrodite appeared beside her husband and smiled, "Now will you protect the people?" She asked him. Ares looked up at the statue of him in the temple, it was enormous. "Of course I will." He said and shook his head when his wife walked up to his statue and tried hugging its ankle. "You seem more fascinated with the statue then the real thing." He joked and walked over to her, kissing her forehead. "I should be going now." He said. Aphrodite gasped and motioned for him to follow her. The two appeared at her temple and watched as the girl set down a sheet of paper. "A sketch?" Aphrodite repeated and looked at her husband who motioned for her to go get it. Aphrodite normally didn't appear before mortals, and motioned for Ares to go with her. He was reluctant, but went with her as she reached the sketch and carefully picked it up. The two now appearing before her. "What do you think?" Aphrodite asked her husband.

Eros had eaten breakfast but his parents were quick to leave after. He worked on making himself some lunch this time and after heading to his room to get dressed in his white toga and golden sandals, he walked out of the house ready to help Sapphira's father if he needed it.

Kaneko's father grabbed his weapon, made sure he wasn't forgetting anything and locked the door behind him on his way out of the house. The air was chilly out, winter was probably around the corner which meant it would get much colder in later days. He thought of his daughter and frowned, she was all he had. His wife left their lives when Kaneko was young. She didn't like his job, and just because of that his daughter had to suffer. He had done everything he could to keep her safe and happy, he just hoped she understood that. The older man made his way through the town, keeping his eyes open for his target knowing it wouldn't be too hard to spot the vampire. One never forgets their first victim.

Gods and goddesses were strange. Faith was important. You didn't have faith, you didn't get what you wanted. Simple as that. Eros hoped that she would leave the sketch as an offering for his mother. It would really make her happy, he knew it. The two chatted for quiet sometime before they realized the time. "R-right. I really should. I umm, I'll talk to you tomorrow though. Well, if I see you again that is." he said and gave her a hug. "By, and thanks again for dinner." He told her and said goodbye to her father, saying he'd be at work again in the morning like always then he left for home. When he arrived home, he realized his mother was cleaning the dishes and his father was helping her. Perfect.

"Hey, I'm home." He said and watched the two before continuing. "Umm..dad could I ask you something?" He asked his father. Most people would be too scared to ask Ares anything. His father nodded, setting the cleaned dishes on the rack to dry. "Is this war truly going to happen?" He asked suddenly. His father looked surprised and ran a hand through his dark hair. "I guess you've heard the rumors." Ares began. His son nodded and the three of them moved to sit on the couch. "The rumors are true, war is coming and it's close. Very, very close. The people here, are not prepared." he said. Eros panicked, "B-but dad, you can help right? You can end it all!" Ares sighed and pat his son's shoulder before getting up. It was late and he was tired. "I only help those who pray Eros. If they don't believe, they don't get my help. It's late, let's all get some sleep. We can talk about this sometime tomorrow again if you'd like. Come love." He said and took his wife's hand after kissing the top of his son's head.

Aphrodite kissed her son's cheek and wished him a goodnight before she and her husband vanished to their room. Eros sighed and looked around the lonely house. His father was right, he couldn't help those who were not faithful to him. Yawning softly, Eros left to his room and crawled into bed to sleep.

His daughter would never understand, so he wouldn't even try to reason with her. He'd take care of the problem himself while she was still at work. Now then, finding Allen was the hard part. He didn't think that Allen would be out in the open. No, and it wasn't exactly dark yet. The sun was going to set, so if Allen was anywhere, it would be wherever he stayed in the day. Only at the darkest hour would he finally be able to see him. For now, Kaneko's father formulated a plan and hurried off home to get a weapon. Maybe last time a better weapon was needed. Maybe that's why he had only damaged the monster's eyes.

Was that the name of the book? Well it was no matter, at least she was reading again and if it weren't for the coffee he would have dozed off beside her by now. Lyle blushed at the kiss and listened as she read aloud to him. He felt like a child again, having stories read to him as if he were getting ready to go to bed. "I love you, so much." He whispered to her, being quiet to let her continue reading.

"Sure he isn't." The butler muttered. The butler was somewhat older male, a good man who enjoyed joking around. He liked to lighten the mood when things were tense as they had been earlier. "Miss, you will be staying here until the storm passes. If you need anything do not hesitate to let me know and I will do my best to fulfill any request you may have." He explained to the girl. Amalia looked around the room, tissues in her hand. Her eyes puffy from crying. It was a very lovely room and it was hers for now?
