The colour in Hal's face drained.

"...what...?" he asked.

"We've.. lost them...?" he asked her.

"How? That... no, that shouldn't be possible..." he went on.

"How...?"

Meanwhile, Hal was in his office, as was Angela.

Zeke had told her what they were doing, and she was worried.

Hal offered to be with her while this was happening.

After a bit, Angela phone started ringing, and the caller I.D. said it was Zeke.

"Djinn's power... too much... I'm sorry... I love you..." was all she heard from him, before the line went dead.

"Yep." Ash responded, cracking his knuckles.

"Just be careful." Chris said.

"Odds are everyone there may be more well-armed than normal." he said further.

"I got it." Ash said in response.

Chris just sighed.

"Be more believable if it's her bringing me." he said.

"And yes. There are." he told Ashleigh.

"Infernal travel aside, there are 3 entrances." he said, telling everyone where they were.

Before anyone could say anyhing, Chris just sighed quietly.

"Come with me." he said.

"Too many people going after Vanessa is a detriment." he told her.

"With me, it'll be 2v1 against Azari." he reasoned.

"Hm." Lindsay muttered.

"Quite frankly, you're suited for any team." Ash commented.

"That's true." Zeke said, thinking about it.

Chris thought about it as well, before sighing.

"If you want to join me in finding Azari, feel free." he said. "Otherwise, maybe join the Fyrane that's going to be causing general chaos." he suggested.

"Again, hard for people to counter when they don't know what's coming."

Zeke cracked his knuckles.

"I'm going with you two." he said to Ashleigh and Roxie.

"See if I can't get some good shots in for Angela." he said, brandishing his sword.

"I'm going to try and find that djinn." Jake said.

"See if I can't find a way to help them or get them out of here."

"Yes." Chris responded.

"I'm going to just cause general mayhem." Ash told them.

"Oh?" Lindsay asked.

"Nothing throws a place into chaos like someone indiscriminately destroying the place." Ash reasoned.

"That's a fair point." Chris admitted.

Chris raised his hand.

"For what it's worth, I put a stopper in the djinn's mana. Odds are she still can't access it." he said.

"Odds are?" Ash asked.

"...well, it might have. Was panicking when I did it." Chris admitted.

"Ah." Ash responded.

"I'll go see if I can find the ones we're supposed to rescue." Lindsay offered.

"I do." Chris responded.

"Are we all going in?" Ash asked.

"Well, not all at once." Lindsay replied.

"We need to funnel in and taper it off. Constant stream of people coming to attack." he said.

"Makes sense." Jake commented.

"Fair." Hal replied.

Zeke then showed up.

"I have a bone to pick." he said.

"Vanessa Encrae hurt Olivia. I intend to pay it back." he told them.

"..." Chris was silent and just looked away slightly.

Hal just sighed.

"11." he replied.

"Including you all, 11." he said, before his phone rang and he answered it.

After a brief conversation, he hung up.

"10." he corrected himself.

"Sierra is dealing with emergency issues at the moment, and shall not be able to join."

"No intention of it." Hal responded.

"The others should be here soon." he said.

"How big a group is it?" Chris asked.

"Big." Hal responded.

"Well, numbers can be good." Chris reasoned.

"I'll make sure Hazel returns, at least." Chris said.

He was then silent.

"If you see Ayla, tell her sorry for me." he told them.

"...for everything." he added.
