Both Ash and Lindsay were stunned to hear that.

"R-raiding it?" Lindsay stammered.

"Never thought I'd hear THAT..." Ash muttered.

"B-but WHY?" Lindsay asked. "Why is he doing this?" he asked her.

"Surely such a thing is foolish at best." he went on.

"...unless it's to rescue someone." Ash added in.

"...I don't know." Hal admitted. "I just.. I don't know." he said.

"This is new territory. We're winging it now." he muttered.

Meanwhile, the one she addressed looked over towards her, and shrugged.

"Roof, I think." he said.

"Wanted to just stare at the sky, I think." he went on.

"Why?" he asked.

"What's up?"

"Time is precious." Hal responded.

"Please do not dally, and bring whomever you feel would be a boon." he told her.

They then ended their conversation, and Jake sighed.

"I'm going to make my way to security." he told them.

"I remember Ashleigh, so when she shows up, I'll verify and let them through, bringing them here." he said.

"Do that, then." Hal replied.

Jake nodded in response and left the office, as Hal let out a massive sigh.

"Consider yourself lucky." Jake muttered, as Hal grabbed his phone.

"VERY lucky." the ramaarin added, as Hal listened to the phone ring.

"...Ashleigh Encrae?" he said when it was answered.

"Hal Sharp." he said further.

"Listen, one of my agents decided to go off on her own to rescue the man she loves from your sister's clutches." he told her.

"I'm sending a team to try and storm the place and save her." he went on.

"You care to be a part of it, or know anyone that would be handy for such an endeavour?"

"Hmph." Hal muttered.

He then thought for a moment, and nodded.

"We do." he said.

"...indeed, one would think she'd be perfect for this." he told her.

"Remember, we're doing this outside of the Triad and Council's jurisdictions at this point." he then reminded her.

"Though I WILL call and ask her about this, and if she wants to go, or will go, or has any recommendations for a party."

Hal was silent, and crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back in his chair.

"Very well." he said.

"I concede your point." he told her.

"So let's discuss." he continued.

"Who would YOU send, if you were in my shoes?" he asked her.

"What is YOUR optimal team for this?" he asked further.

"I'll take everything into consideration for this, bearing in mind, we have precious little time."

Hal was silent again for a moment, before narrowing his eyes.

"...I need the strongest agents I have." he said.

"I need my celestials... infernals... my spirits, my undead." he went on. "There is precious little time left, and we need to send in the biggest firepower we have." he went on.

"And anyone else that wants to go." he added.

"Such as myself and Izea?" Jake asked.

"I'm not asking you to." Hal responded. "I know you have a history with Encrae." he told him.

"...I'll go. To save Miki and Ty." Jake replied.

"And you?" Hal asked Izea, merely seeking confirmation at this point.

"....." Jake was silent for a moment, almost stunned.

"She... she went to find Vanessa Encrae." he said.

"......excuse me?" Hal asked after a pause.

"She WHAT?" he asked further.

"She went to rescue Ty." Jake said further.

"Where?" Hal asked. "Where IS she?" he asked Jake.

"...Stonehenge." was the answer given.

As she searched for the door, she suddenly felt something. She felt like she was being watched. And not in the sense that they knew she was there and were observing her via mana. She felt eyes upon her.

When she looked around, she didn't see anything at first... not that that was hard, it was dark out.

However, her eyes suddenly pierced the darkness, and she saw a group of 4 individuals hiding behind one of the stone slabs as best they could.

They were definitely watching her.

And it was clear that they had been sneaking to get closer to her.

They found nothing in the house. Nothing at all. Her kitten wanted some attention, so they gave her some, and made sure she was fed, and watered, before they left, making sure the door was locked behind them.

"Nothing." Jake said.

"Not a thing." Izea responded.

The two then returned back to the Unit, and Jake made his way right to to Hal's office, entering hastily when given the permission to. He explained everything, and how he was worried, causing Hal to sigh.

"All right, I will oblige you." Hal said.

"I wish I knew where Miki was right now." Jake responded.

Hal then promptly nodded, and snapped his fingers.

Jake got back up and pushed the door open.

"Hello!?" he called in.

"Miki? You in?" he called further.

No answer. There was silence in the house. Which was odd, normally there was some ambient noise, either the radio or the TV. Unless she was sleeping, but... not at this time of day.

"...I don't like this." he said to his friend.

"Let's see if we can't find anything."

Jake was silent, before looking around.

"...hm." he mumbled.

"Seems nobody's around..." he went on.

He then looked around some more, before sighing.

"Well, use me." he said.

"Seriously, I'll get down on my hands and knees, and you can use me for a boost." he continued.

"Just so long as it doesn't take very long."

"I don't know." Jake responded.

"Hopefully this will answer a lot." he said.

The rest of the drive was in relative silence, but didn't last long, anyway, before they pulled into the driveway of Miki and Tyson's place.

"All right." he said.

"Let's get to work." he told her.

"Try and make this as quick as possible, so it doesn't seem suspicious."

"Done." Jake responded.

They quickly made their way to his car, got in, and she barely had time to buckle up before he had started it up and they were on their way.

He wasn't necessarily 'speeding', but she DID notice that he was taking more shortcuts, driving a LITTLE faster than his norm, and overall just seemed like he was in a hurry. No surprise for her.

"...keep forgetting you pick locks." he then commented.

"Makes sense, given the lifestyle you used to lead." he went on.

"You are a woman of many talents, it seems."
