Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"No heavy spice. Got it." Jax replied, before leaving her to get the room ready.

He made his way down to the kitchen where he pulled out some takeaway menus, made his way to the den, sat down on the couch, and started to sift through all the leaflets he had.

"...hm." he mumbled.

"Chinese... Japanese... Pizza..." he mumbled. "Burgers..." he said further, considering it.

"No Indian... Thai's out... hmmm..." he muttered further.

"I'll ask when she comes down."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Right." Jax responded.

"Actually, one second." he then said, before quickly leaving the room. He was gone for only about 20 seconds, before returning with all she needed. Fitted sheet, thin sheet, comforter, and 2 cases for the pillows.

"Feel free to stack the boxes if you want." he told her.

"I'm gonna go to the den and sift through some take-out menus." he went on.

"So that'll be where you can find me."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"This way." Jax responded.

The two then made their way to the spare bedroom of the house, where they saw things weren't quite set up. The bed was missing sheets and the pillows were missing cases, and there were a few boxes strewn about.

"Eh-heh." he chuckled nervously.

"I'll get rid of the boxes and put linens and such on the bed." he told her.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Jax looked at Liv, and smiled.

"Yeah, fair." he replied. "And your company does more than you think." he told her. "Seriously, I just... I don't want to be alone." he admitted quietly, looking off to the side.

"Anyway, let's order in some food." he suggested.

Meanwhile, Zeke crossed his arms over his chest, and sighed.

"So... Rebecca is missing. Great." he muttered.

"I don't know which is worse... the fact that a conduit in connection with horrifying extraplanar beings is missing... or that a SIREN is missing." he admitted. "One sounds a lot worse right off the bat, but... sirens really can fuck up a LOT if allowed or forced to." he reasoned.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Anything else from anyone?" Zeke asked.

"Nope." Levi responded.

"Same." Ally chimed in.

"Thanks for everything, you guys." Jax then said to everyone there, as he and Liv got close to each other.

"No worries." Zeke responded, as he used his mana to teleport them out, and to Jax's place.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"He already gave it to us." Levi told her, as they heard the wind pick up outside.

"...I would suggest using mana, though." he then said.

"Right." Jax mumbled, looking out the window.

"I was soaked when I got here. Don't wanna get soaked so soon again." he reasoned.

"Heh, fair." Zeke chuckled.

"Liv, you got a preference?" he asked.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Jax nodded in response.

"I will." he said.

"We all have each other's numbers, yeah?" Zeke asked.

"Should." Levi responded.

"Let's all keep in touch at regular intervals, even if just a text on occasion." Zeke suggested. "If nothing else, just so we can touch base and make sure we're all still hangin' on." he reasoned.

"Sounds like a plan." Levi replied.

"Okay then." Jax said.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

my little jokes on thee...

They watched her go, and Jax just sighed.

"Thank you." he said. "I need this." he told them.

"We know." Levi responded.

Jax then gave Zeke and co. all the info he could muster, with Zeke and Levi writing down the details so they wouldn't forget. He spoke for close to 5 minutes, before finishing and taking a small breath.

"All right." Zeke said quietly.

"I'll get to work on finding her."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"That's true." Zeke agreed.

"Got something with her mana signature?" he asked. "I'll show them and see if they can't help." he said.

"That shouldn't be an issue." Levi commented.

Jax merely nodded silently in response.

"Don't worry, we'll find her." Zeke assured him.

"If scrying didn't work, she's alive somewhere. We WILL find her."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke rolled his eyes.

"Not too fussed about payback." he said.

"But I'll get the card to you tomorrow at the latest." he told her, before taking out his wallet and handing her 70 dollars. "For now, use this to get yourself dinner for tonight, at least." he continued.

"Jax, I'll want full details about Rebecca, so I can more efficiently search." he then told Jax.

"Got it." the lycan responded.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Well, if you're going to be staying with Jax, there's no need to worry about eating ME out of house and home." Levi chuckled.

"Hmmm." Zeke mumbled.

"Oh, I'll fill up a disposable credit card." he then told her. "Should let you order in for... we'll say a couple of weeks." he said further.

"That sounds like a LOT of money." Jax mumbled.

"Eh, got a mission bonus before this lockdown bullshit happened. Doing just fine for money." Zeke shrugged.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke just groaned.

"I hate her so much." he said.

"We all do." Levi sighed.

"Anyway, I'll get more stuff for you, Liv." Zeke then told Olivia.

"You want anything non-basics?"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke sighed.

"Hate when I misspeak." he said. "Makes me feel stupid." he muttered.

"...hate when -I- miss that sort of thing." Levi then mumbled. "Considering what I do for a living, that's not good for me to miss an entire NAME like that." he continued.

"Anyway, I'll keep a look out." Zeke told the group.

"I'll pack some things for you to stay with Jax for a bit, as well." he then said to Liv.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Jax could only laugh when she asked her last question.

"Right." he said.

"Firstly, yeah, about two months." he confirmed. "I think a smidgen less." he told her.

"Secondly, no, I don't have a choice." he then said. "However, don't see that as a BAD thing at this point in time." he admitted. "As crappy as I'm feeling, I know having a close friend around is something that should be happening for me." he admitted. "So while I do not have a choice, I am more than okay with the results of that non-choice." he assured her.

"So Alyssa is missing, huh?" Zeke asked Ally and Levi.

"And scrying is coming up with zilch." the latter responded.

"Shit." the archangel cursed quietly.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.
