@star2000shadow: I was fortunate to be able to come up with the money at the time. Sure as heck couldn't do that now!

@Rei Ann: Rofl I have... three Halloween Squishes. I have the black and hot pink cat, and two different sizes of the rainbow jack-o-lantern. I found the bigger size of the jack-o-lantern (the other is a keychain) by dumb chance at Aldi: it was the very last of the style, last of the ones I was interested in, tucked all the way at the back and hidden by another shelf. I spotted it by sheer dumb luck! And I went running back to my roommate (who was waiting in line) with him hugged to my chest lmao. Roomie was like "You know that's a Taco Tuesday" (we get tacos at a local place sometimes) and I responded with "I want him more than tacos." XD

@TeaTales: Ugh, yeah, I saw that happening at Walgreens already. Like damn, let Halloween have its day first!! Only good thing is they put stuff on sale *before* Halloween lmao.

@Shadami: You know what store upsets me the most with that crap, personally? Bath and Body Works. They have such cool Halloween stuff and it's largely gone and replaced by winter holidays stuff by October.

@Rei Ann: He never liked me; was just waiting to be rid of me at 18 (he promptly kicked me out and even when I became disabled a few years later, he refused to let me move back in even until I could sort out disability benefits, hence the whole living in my car thing). Honestly I think he went out of his way to make me miserable whenever he could. The Halloween ban was ostensibly because it was "Satanic" (he liked to role-play that he was evangelical Christian), but apparently it wasn't so evil when my brothers were old enough to trick or treat. Go figure. 🙄

ANYWAY yes, Halloween is for anyone and everyone and I love it and it's my favorite holiday!

I have like four Halloween-themed plushies now, two of which I got just this year. :D

@Rei Ann: It's sooo nice. You're able to pick up the villagers like an item and plop them in their little terrariums. XD

I never did Trunk or Treat either, but then I was also forbidden from celebrating Halloween after the sixth grade by my mom's new husband. :( I will forever be angry about that, especially since HIS sons (my half brothers) were allowed to from an early age! Costumes and candy and the whole nine yards. Meanwhile I got screamed at, in my early 20s, for showing up at the house the morning after a concert with monster makeup still on my face (I was living in my car at the time--that's another story regarding that asshole--and needed a sink to wash it all off, you know?).

Sorry, not trying to go on a rant, but it still bothers me, the double-standard. ^^;;

@star2000shadow: Oh no! I currently have a really expensive pair I splurged on for my mental health a few years ago. I was living on a friends' couch and I could NOT take the non-stop loud television being on all the time. So I invested in a $200 pair of noise-canceling Sony headphones (I still had a credit card so I think I used it lol). They're great for flying, too, lol.

@Rei Ann: Right? We did house to house when I was a kid too, and I remember the moms following, even driving the car on one particularly cold Halloween so we could warm up between houses while they could stay warm, lol! Trunk or Treat can be neat, with like games and stuff organized too, but it's not the same and I find that a shame.

@kittyberry: Halloween should definitely be a holiday off. Or at least the day after (like New Year's) so the kiddies don't have to worry about school the next day!

@Rei Ann: I think the one of the mods glitched and deleted it. I looked everywhere I could have put it and no luck. And yeah, there's this one called "Easy Villagers" that lets you keep your villagers that you trade with and whatnot in little like terrariums on a shelf. It's way, way easier than handling them the normal way. XD;;

@Kairu: Oh how I wish I could still eat peanut butter! I do eat cashew butter and almond butter but it's not the saaaame. (I found out a few years ago I've developed a peanut allergy.) I miss peanut butter a lot. o3o That's a great idea for the avocados, though; I often slice them and have them in sammiches but they have a habit of, er, escaping the sammich in that form. XD

@kittyberry: Crimson Peak was a neat movie. I barely remember the plot but the effects were SO cool.

I plan to watch Hocus Pocus and the sequel on Halloween this year, hopefully. :D

Sidenote, but people are way too negative about living with one's parents into adulthood, especially if you need the help! It's normal in a lot of other parts of the world, but for some reason in the west we think it's sooo bad to live with family. S'dumb. My mom and I have (briefly) even floated the idea of she and I living together if she can finally find a place here in Florida (with enough room I mean), and I'm nearly 40!

To be honest I think I'd like to live with my mom for a while; I've lived half a country away from her for more than ten years now and it's hard. I miss her.

@Rei Ann: I've stumbled into many youtubers/streamers that way. :) And yeah! I love to mod the heck out of my games; this modpack has over 200 mods and I'm astonished my computer can handle it at all! It does chug pretty hard sometimes but it's fun enough to be worth the lag.

I could have done without the spontaneous deletion of my extremely massive backpack right after an hours-long mining/exploring expedition last night, though. That made me so mad I stayed up the rest of the night restoring stuff out of spite. XD

@TeaTales: Oh! It's cross-platform, that's cool. o3o

@Kairu: I'm addicted to avocados, I think at this point they qualify as my favorite fruit. Well, right after strawberries anyway. Avocados tend to be cheaper though at least! And a sandwich spread? What a neat idea! :O

@Kairu: Ah, understandable! I know my roommate wants to make an Aldi run for a few things (for instance avocados tend to be cheaper there) so we may do that in the next day or two.

@TeaTales: I appreciate a mobile game that lets you advance without spending real money!

@Kairu: Ooh whatcha eatin? XD I'm having leftover meatloaf tonight.

@Rei Ann: I've heard of callmekevin but never seen his stuff. Sounds like a neat mod though! I love farming in Minecraft way too much lol. Actually I've got a couple mods in my current modpack that add a TON of new crops a kitchen with complex foods to make (like burritos, chicken and dumplings, all sorts of pies and cookies and such--it's awesome) and I'm so happy!

I'm currently just exploring, trying to find my way to a Badlands biome (and hopefully a desert by extension). At the moment I'm taking on a mansion, but i think the number of mobs crashed my game so I might have to put it on peaceful for a bit lmao.

@Kairu: Hello! I'm just being eaten alive by Minecraft. How are you? XD

@Rei Ann: I have not! I haven't heard of that mod. o3o I've played Stardew Valley itself though. I'll have to look into that!

One that's very similar to both that I've been playing recently also is Core Keeper. It's still in early access but it's shaping up to be a really fun sandbox survival game. :D

@TeaTales: Rofl I've heard that one's pretty addictive. The only gacha game I've ever really gotten into is Cookie Run Kingdom, myself, but even that I haven't played in a while, lol.

WOW, I just popped the hell outta my neck. O3O;;

@star2000shadow: Lol I just remembered how I'd be in the living room, in the armchair at my little desk, using my laptop with headphones on well until dawn with visiting friends passed out in the fold-out sleeper couch next to me, lol. Fortunately they are heavy sleepers so my typing never disturbed them!
