If you could say one word for the rest of your life, what it would be?
"Love," I think.

What’s the flavor of gum you wish existed?
Banana! I love banana candy and was recently thinking that banana chewing gum would be awesome.

Have you ever had a crush on fictional characters?
Too many, lmao. One of the first was Gambit from X-Men, specifically his portrayal in the 90s cartoon. I actually lost internet privileges for like 6 months plus got a lecture on reality vs. fantasy because I didn't want my mom reading my emails between myself and a school friend about him. Actually lost contact with that friend (they'd just moved from my school) as well because my email account expired while I was offline. :I Still salty about that whole thing tbh. XD

What do you notice first in new people?
Mmm... the general feeling around them I guess? Someone else answered "their vibe" and I think that's accurate.

What’s your biggest screen time during a day?
To be perfectly honest I spend most of my day on my computer/watching YouTube on my tablet, which is two screens at once (sometimes three if I include my phone lmao) so uh... >_>

Skipped a couple but answered a few too. These are fun! :3

What is the most bizarre wrong number text or phone call you ever received?
Ooh this is a good one! :O I once got a call from my probation officer, addressing me by first name, informing me I needed to contact them immediately, or something like that. Only problem is, aside from a couple speeding tickets as a teen, I've never been in trouble with the law! So I ended up having to call this cop and inform him that his 'client' had given a false phone number (evidently choosing a random local number associated with the same first name as them). He was clearly displeased, but he believed me when I gave my last name lol, and didn't bother me again.

What was the most outrageous lie you believed as a child?
Um... only one I can think of is that my mom had me convinced she could see "red dots" in my eyes whenever I was lying. I must admit that one stuck around longer than it probably should have lmao. She blew it, though, when she told me she could see the red dots and I wasn't/ lying!

If you had a shrink-ray, what would you use it for?
Probably for mine and my friends' storage units, so we can all keep our belongings without paying an arm and a leg for storage fees. (seriously storage is a freaking racket, it's awful how expensive it gets!)

You have Wonder Woman’s lasso of truth, who do you use it on first?
Donald Trump lmao!! Or my mom's ex-husband. Both would be satisfying.

That's wonderful! Glad you'll be able to see him, too; that must have been so scary for the whole family.

@Valentina:

Wow, this was a serious puzzle. Fun though!

5 Giant!

@Totalanimefan: I ended up not making dinner because a friend of my roommate's brought us gyros earlier in the day and that was enough for us lol. So probably tomorrow. She keeps trying to convince me the chicken & ramen she accidentally left out the other night (until I found it at 3am) is still safe to eat, but I'm not touching that shit. Biscuits and gravy sounds glorious, omg that seriously sounds so freaking good. I haven't had biscuits and gravy in... years?

And oh god I finally broke down and started the cold syrup today because of the (mostly) dry cough I've been dealing with. It's heinous, good god.

@Wildfire: Walmart was out of everything but Zephyr Hills spring water, which I hate. But! Walgreens was fully stocked with their Nice brand drinking water. :D

@Totalanimefan: We're gonna have to get by without meat for a few days at least I think. Doesn't bother me but roomie is a bigtime carnivore. :P We do have power and water, yeah, and we've got some various canned stuff. I think I'm making chicken and yellow rice tonight with canned chicken.

And omg seriously, I *hate* making phone calls.

Urgh, I think my cold is trying to get into my chest now; I've just resorted to a cold medicine that has a cough suppressant in it because I'm having enough dry coughing to get on my nerves.

The medicine is a syrup (yuck) and positively heinous.

@Totalanimefan: Fortunately Walgreens at least shows me if stuff is in stock in the store on their site, so that's helpful. They're probably more likely to have water as well, at least marginally more likely. I'm almost out. We also have like no meats for dinners so we've gotta see what the store has in that regard. That'll be fun. Bleh.

Oh god, and we need dog food, aaa.

@Wildfire: I am almost out of water and we need meats and vegetables for dinners pretty badly. I know we're going to the bank today and likely Walmart, and I'm going to ask to stop at Walgreens for a nasal irrigation kit (this cold sucks) and maybe buy water there if they have it. It's like $4.50 a pack last I saw, which is a lot, but better than nothing.

@Alorrena: Yay for internet! :D

Urgh, trying to make a Walmart order but there's no water, no bread, no frozen items of any kind. Gonna try to get roomie to go to Walgreens and maybe the local grocery store today. We need to anyway.

@Wildfire: Oh absolutely, I'd much rather have a head cold than what they're dealing with south of us. :(

@Totalanimefan: Ah yeah, I remember you posting about being sick. Hope you're feeling better! Also glad you heard from your family.

@Alorrena: I can't stand not having internet, I totally get it. Even during the hurricane, with no power, I was using the internet on my phone (Verizon was kind enough to give everyone unlimited talk/text/data until like the 4th, otherwise I would have surely run out quickly). Everything is tied to the internet these days, it seems! Hope yours is back up sooner rather than later!

@Qiqi Agatha: Definitely depends on where you are in Florida, tbh. Tampa Bay, which was initially predicted to get catastrophic flooding, came out almost unscathed (a few downed trees/signs/powerlines mostly). South of us in the Fort Myers area, though, was hit disastrously. I think I heard it was like at over a six-foot storm surge, which did massive damage via flooding, not to mention being hit by essentially Category 5 storm winds, and it was moving slowly so it just kept churning there. It's going to take months and honestly years for them to recover. There was also a lot of river flooding further north-east in the state, with the Orlando area getting apparently unprecedented rainfall in such a short time as to flood pretty badly there.

I guess the article is mostly right but the Tampa Bay area didn't really see that much damage, like I said; mostly wind damage, that's already mostly cleaned up. I don't think there was much flooding here except maybe really low-lying areas next to rivers maybe. Also the storm may have actually been a cat 5 when it made landfall as some were recording cat 5 windspeeds, but I have no idea if they'll retroactively declare it one or not.

I caught a cold from my brother and his girlfriend (we evacuated from the hurricane together) and I'm crossing my fingers it's not covid. I don't think it is as it seems to just be a headcold, but it sucks a lot, lol.

I really really hope you don't catch it, Jolly! I hope you get to see your Dad. <3

@Totalanimefan: Oh I'm glad you heard from your family! I heard from mine in Orlando, via my mom, this morning, and they're okay too. So afaik my family got out okay.

What a week.

Oh so my brother and his girlfriend, who were with us at stepmom's house during the hurricane, had a cold. And guess who has it now? Yaaaay. :(

Yeah I heard the bridge into Sanibel Island is just gone, and some others too. I hope anyone who rode it out on the islands will be okay for a while because I don't think help is going to be coming for a while.

Yes , I'm okay! Glad to see you guys posting, too!

We rode out the storm at my stepmom's place. The storm came at such an angle that we were able to sit on the screened porch and watch the weather, lol. It turns out my stepmom's place is now zone A (just barely, like maybe the last house on before Zone B) as of the last rezoning, but we kept a really close eye on what the storm was doing and were ready to grab our stuff and run for my aunt's if need be. We did lose power yesterday afternoon, but stepmom has a gas stove so we were able to cook a hot dinner (my brother cooked some killer steak and my stepmom made an amazing potato salad that I'm still kind of dreaming of, lmao). It was kind of fun in a weird way and I understand the "hurricane party" thing better now.

Also my house doesn't have a scratch, I think the worst that happened here was the trash bins blew around. Power didn't even go out here (I'm back home as of an hour or so ago) so we didn't lose food or anything (which is really good because neither of us can really afford to replace it right now).

I feel really fortunate that Tampa didn't get that direct hit, but oh my god I feel so bad for the communities south of us. :(
