@Godawful: I think a thing they do to compensate for lack of control in console games is to use an auto-aim feature. I hate auto-aim because I'm used to raw skill, and it puts my cursor in places I'd really rather it not be :p

@Godawful: I feel ya. PC games have so much more potential in my eyes... if not only because I'm better at aiming with a mouse. I'm playing a lot of Far Cry 4 right now, I can't imagine that kind of game with thumbsticks.

Hello! So glad you're here!

Hello! What kind of games are we talking? Tabletop? Console? PC?

@Saeyra: I feel as though I have enough random knowledge of both universes to qualify as a starry myself, but I tend to nit-pick th'wars a bit more... too many Jedis in the kitchen for my tastes. And, as far as th'trek goes, I'm really only horribly obsessed with deep space nine SO MAYBE IM JUST A FRAUD :vanora_cry:

@Elithiya: Oh my god, if there isn't a self defense class for people with limitations and disabilities there absolutely should be. Wow, I think you just came up with the best idea if it hasn't already been done.... and at the very least you've inspired me to look into it. I used to work very closely with developmentally disabled individuals and I love the idea that they could build some self confidence and self worth at a class like this, while also being able to keep themselves safe. I miss my friends :(

My biggest form of self defense is being a very intimidating weirdly dressed lady. People always assume I'm one rude remark away from a throat-punch.... but I realize it is not as easy for smaller and prettier people to pull off :p

@Elithiya: I used to be too afraid to leave the house, but then my husband taught me how to use a knife. I kind of wish we taught kids self defense at a young age... I don't WANT to have violence in my life, but I want to be ready to know how to deal with it should the situation arise. notthatanyofthatwouldhelpwithmasskillingsbuhhh.....

Ah, here we have the lowest form of beta-male, in its natural habitat. The saddest part is people like this are everywhere. They think a S.O is a prize they were promised for getting high scores in the "school" and "job" minigames.

@Saeyra: and @Porg: Ooh, makes sense why I'd be oblivious... I'm a trekkie! I hope we can all still be friends, cross fandom XD
Posted in Hello, there. Posted 7 years ago
Greetings Porg! What is a Porg exactly? ...besides yourself of course. I'm hoping its something blatantly obvious so I can have an aha! moment later. Based on experience org COULD mean online roleplaying game... but what is the P? Post? Power? Party? Pumpernickel?
Snap, maybe its not even an acronym at all...
Teach me your Porgish ways!

I've waited so many days to (remember to) see the moon for this. It was still day when I looked, so it was a shiny blue boy tonight. 3/4ths exposed to the world, and very dreamy.

I slice them, then peel them, then shove 'em on a stick and dip em in chocolate.

OHMAN, @nyreen: I found a great alternative for when that fries/chips craving hits me. Dry some chickpeas/garbanzo beans and slap 'em on a cookie sheet with some whatever oil and whatever seasonings, bake at 300/400 until they're of a fantastic deliciousness. Garbanzos are great for all sorts of things.
