@MoodyBats: Make sure everything has a password and make sure you lock devices when you aren't using them
For windows at least alt+tab will let you switch quickly between programs and windows key+L will let you lock it you computer quickly

@star2000shadow: He got really disoriented at night and let's be honest nurses can't keep their eyes on people 24/7. It made my grandma feel better to have someone there and since I had afternoon shifts then I volunteered

@star2000shadow: I use to stay overnight with grandfather. If I hadn't been able to switch of with another family member in the mornings I never would have slept haha

@marupiter: It's such a quick and satisfying read. I really need to purchase the rest of the series to reread
I've tried the Discworld series several times. By all accounts it's something I would enjoy but I just couldn't get into it

@MoodyBats: Ah, a guilt I am familiar with. If it's a crisis a faith, I'm afraid I can't offer much advice. I'm came out to agnostic to my family many years ago and haven't looked back since ^^;
If not, do they need to know? I certainly don't share everything with my family. You could cite something like a non disclosure agreement with a client if they press you about it. Or block them on social media like I did lol

Just finished Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede. Still reccomend it. I totally forgot how forward thinking the dragons are about gender
Now I'm rereading the Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey. It's really starting to show it's age (using g*psy and some fatphobia right there at the beginning yikes) but it's still engaging. If we're being honest Lackey is a problematic fav. She gets some things so right and then completely flubs others 😰

Idk what to do about drawing tho. I can keep up the momentum for a week or so before I feel burnt out. I haven't been able to balance it with my amigurumi projects very well

@Addy: It is so hard to switch off the I want to make this thing but I can't b/c it doesn't make money mindset. I've been trying balance it better with one self indulgent project and one project that I genuinely want to make bu will also turn a profit
ie: Telly Tubbies (literally no one else will want this but me lol) and Animal Crossing "inspired" amigurumi (which have a waaay broader appeal)

@MoodyBats: I think a lot of us are in the same boat, what with the pandemic and now the protests, it seems kinda... frivolous? I guess? That's on top of the normal anxiety of "why am I wasting my time with this I should have gone to trade school"
It's not though. It's what inspires and holds us together
