@blinkini: I'd personally space them a bit with the background showing through. At such a small scale it'll make it hard for all the details to be differentiated at a distance

@MoodyBats: Some of it def seems to boil down to personality. When I watch someone like Lavendertowne I feel like a lot of driving force is their persona and not so much the art (no hate, it's just not my favorite). Or storytelling like Homestuck (again, no hate, just not my taste)

And I've def followed plenty of artists for those reasons. Some of my fav webcomics had abysmal art at the beginning and some haven't changed in years lol

@MoodyBats: Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I thought I was the only one who would want a mothman crochet pattern and it's my best seller lol.

That and I look at a lot of "professional" artists and I'm like??? So I guess there's something for everyone.

@pachi: I've got a pc. It's still showing the scrollbar in chrome and firefox for me :/

@MoodyBats: They allow it the same way etsy allows it. As long as no one files a takedown they don't care b/c it's making them money. A lot of companies don't really bother with fanart sales as long as it's a) original art and b) not mass produced. But there are plenty that employ people to issue dmca takedowns to anything remotely infringing on their copyright -cough- d*sney -cough-

I'd love to take commissions but honestly they don't seem worth the hassle most of the time. I'd much rather have a passive income like my etsy patterns. I'd like to eventually bump my measly $20 extra a month to $100. (And honestly I'm not sure if my art is worth offering if no one's asking haha -_-; )

@MoodyBats: I just started my RB but I haven't promoted it all or anything. I'm leery of throwing fanart up b/c with my luck I'd get a copyright strike XP
It's been so long since I've done commissions I hardly know were to start lol

I'm itching to make a new one but I don't have the patience until they fix the scrolling issue lol

@MoodyBats: Yikes that does sound stressful. Any success on Redbubble or do you rely more on commissions?

It's a good skill to have. At minimum I think everyone should know how to whip stitch, sew on a button, and tie a knot
Posted in Moody's Bat Cave Posted 5 years ago
@MoodyBats: That stinks :( There are tutorials for sewn ones if it's the shape that's bothering you. You can microwave a WET hand towel/wash cloth, place it in a ziplock and then wrap it with a t-shirt or another towel. It's easier to burn yourself with that method so be careful

@MoodyBats: I'd def recc making a rice sock then. It's basically a long sock+rice that you heat in the microwave but there's plenty of tutorials online
Posted in Moody's Bat Cave Posted 5 years ago
@MoodyBats: Might be time to invest in your own. You can get a decent one for $20-30. If nothing else make yourself a rice sock

@Addy: This was over reblogging a piece to a PF group. Apparently it doesn't save your tags when reblogging. Which, fair enough, I didn't know. I asked if there were any tags in particular I should use and they replied that they aren't even active in the group but any tags are fine??? I swear to god some people were put on this earth to waste my time and try my patience akdjfslkdj

@MoodyBats: I would go absolutely feral if I had to share my heating pad lol
