I am tired. Mother loves going to parties early, so it is inevitable that by the time it truly starts, I will be exhausted. Father will be as tired as I am.

While I know of the term popping pills and small objects shaped like pills, the phrase does not bring taking medicine to mind so much as popping a whitehead.

We stay home. None of us wish to deal with the stresses of people who do not know how to drive, fights, mobs, and the general insanity over a price that is listed as cheap but usually isn't.

My parents are not gift givers, and it has rubbed off on me. Mother feels obligated to get me something, though, as I am her child. For the past few years, it has been a gift card or two.
