Hopefully nothing worse. Some school districts over a girl had a cough that would not go away and it turned out that she had cancer that the cough was warning her about, or so the rumors said.

I am wondering what Mother plans for Thursday. She has not told either Father nor I about any visitors, so she must have been invited to a friend of a friend's Thanksgiving dinner and will bring the rest of us along. I will not complain much, as it will mean food, even if it is food and many strangers.
