it's the same with dogs/cats/basically any animal; the less you interact with it outside of feeding time, the more wild it's going to get

that's why even zoos make sure that the animals are around the humans a fair bit, to make vet visits less painful for everyone involved

dude I was so damn happy when he told me where we were going lol my mom won't let me have sneks or lizzies but I love them so much I've done all kinds of research on them XD

it's mostly that they only interact with you when you're feeding them, so humans/hands = food. So, after a while...you cant reach in to pet them or pick them up, because hand = food = BITE

even if they're not poisonous or particularly large, snek teef can hurt lol

yeah! they had crocs and turtles and gaters and lizard all in nice big display cages and they assured me they had larger cages for them in the back for when the zoo was closed xD

fiance took me to the reptile zoo for valentines day

I was holding the ball python for so long that people thought I worked there lmao I mean I still helped them transfer the snake between them and told them how to hold it and to not let it get on the bench but still

my aunt had an albino corn! they don't get big yeah :> but they didn't interact with theirs outside of feeding so he went feral >:

:U if you want him to be your service pup that's best; I just happened to get a dog who had all of her social training already done so I dunno how to do that XP Annie belonged to an elderly man in a wheelchair before I got her after he passed and his family decided they couldn't care for her
Annie is a 95lb dog that's like entirely muscle tho so it...makes sense ha I'm just used to big doges
