Congrats!
I've thought about switching jobs for a while now, but I live in tiny town over less than 500 people. We have one pub that's family run, one restaurant only open half the week, and one store open 24 hours, 7 days a week .I work at the store, obviously. And I don't drive. So I don't really have any options for a different job :(

@Elithiya: I'm not the skinniest person in the world - I already get overheated easily, thus making the summer my least favorite season. It's very pretty, don't get me wrong. But way too many places where I live don't have air conditioning, making it a miserable time of year for me. Give me late spring or the entire fall season, and I'm happy as a clam! Sweater weather is my favorite kind.

Hufflepuff. Such bright, cheery colors! Plus, only a hufflepuff could be angelic enough to actually have - and keep! - an actual angel's halo.

Eww. Summer. Summer means heat, and sun, and brightness. Lots of brightness. And people showing waaaay too much skin. *hides in her dark corner, with a good book and cold drink*

Definitely glad it was only water - like several others, I clicked on the link thinking there was going to actual blood involved, haha. Dead body upstairs, mean poltergeist finally turning on their mojo ...

Like the computer screens from Iron Man that Tony Stark would use ... map, that would be awesome! Way outside my price range, of course, but still awesome!

Welcome back! It's been about 3 weeks for me, so we're in the same boat, haha. Though, for me it is the lack of any internet at home that's stopping me, not college finals! Though my latin course IS currently kicking my butt ...

Holy crap, that's a lot of posts ... Though, granted ... I only get on here once every two weeks or so ... So I obviously don't have the time to post as much as you do, lol. Now, if Voltra has an app for phones, I would be on here so much more often ...

Garai from Chrono Cross
*note: not as hard to beat this play-through as I remember from when I was a kid! I'm re-playing the game for the first time in over a decade.*

@Angelus: Well, they close at 8pm. And I usually work 12 - 8pm. So on the days I work, I literally work from before they open, to when they close. So I can't go on those days. My days off are usually Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday - all the days they are closed. Every once in a while I will get another day off, but it's not a guaranteed thing. So there are many weeks where I can't use their internet at all, leaving me with only my 5 gb of data to use as the internet on my phone - and that goes fast!

@Mellonin:
I've been there.
Several years ago, my mom quit our internet service for a while due to high costs I believe it was--or was it unsatisfactory performance?
I digress.
This left me having to use the city library for internet access for at least a month and at this city library depending on the computer you use, one cardholder gets 30-90 minutes of usage a day.
It was difficult.
It's scary how much the human race depends on electronics in this age. including those who grew up before technology took over like me.
I've had power trouble in this house and it never ceases to astonish and shame me how frustrated I can feel without internet access.
Are you not able to get internet for the house?
Is your city library not close?

I live in a town of less than 1,000 people. Tiny, tiny place. We don't even HAVE a town library. The only place with public wifi is a small brew pub, only open 4 days a week.
