Millet, spilling the tea:
My tactic with these sorts of people is to kill them with kindness. Put them in a position where they should reciprocate kindness.
"Your hair looks so lovely today by the way!" "My gosh, I love your earrings." I go out of my way to make it seem like I have
zero clue of their attitude/can't tell/not affected." Usually squashes any subliminal intimidating games/microaggressions. And sometimes for the positive in the sense they start to treat me /genuinely/ better.
I had this sort of thing happen with a a company I had to work side by side with at a previous job and it seemed they started to dread working with me because I had (politely but directly) corrected their errors. I could tell there was a misunderstanding of intent but it'd be too awkward/unsuccessful to be like 'Hey I could be wrong, but it seems you have a problem with me- could we talk about it'. Something like that for sure would make them feel worse towards me. So the best way to tackle it for me was to go out of my way to squash any preconceptions that I accidentally gave. And it worked! They even started requesting to work with me more after.
the scenario is different but I'm sure the overall tactic should bear some fruit.

Cliche Icebreaker, if you could have one single super power, what would it be?
I totally overthink these things. My thought process goes like:
"Damn I'd love to fly but you can only go so high before you get light headed/lungs strain. Not to mention without weather control it'd
be inconvenient to get caught in a storm in flight with no visibility. Maybe I'd want to be a healer? Wait no, it'd become my moral obligation
to help everyone and that'd become the most exhausting thing in the world and people would hunt me down with millions of sob stories that would sap every ounce of emotional energy. .."
so with that, the least dilemma power has come down to an Extra Special Green thumb.
I can help the world more discreetly that way. (ex deforestation) And If I could go even just one summer without killing
my cilantro that'd be great.

Definitely just test out how bad the draft is first and foremost with Winter around the corner. I know home depot sells window insulators (cheap too) for windows with bad drafts.
That was my first mistake when renting an older house- winter came quick and hit hard and caught us off guard.
Our heating bell was insane the first month of snow until we put all the insulation up.
congrats though, very exciting :valsunglasses:

It doesnt have to be fancy. For me, it was just once I had realized how many sources of tea there are, I couldnt go back! Its perfectly ok if anyones preferences are the boxed sachet's at your local stores- its purely what you enjoy!Bubble tea, is essentially just the chewy tapioca pearls added to the tea of your choice (even if not tea at all haha). Newer varities have included fruit jellys instead of the tapioca.
I hughly recomend a Thai Tea (with or without the pearls) as its high caffeine, usually very sweetened like a liquid carrot cake. So if you ever stop into a shop (bubble tea) and dont know what to pick, thats my recommendation!

Incase you didn't know, I love tea.
But I'm also a tea snob. So I don't just love any tea, I snobbishly drink the high quality stuff
that I struggle to justify why I can afford.
Tell me your ideal cup of tea! Which flavor/company/with sugar/cream/something else/etc.
I'ma plug in my fav's. (I do not own nor do I sponsor any of these. Genuinely just my fav's I have found.)
Favorite Green Tea: Matcha
Not just any Matcha will do. I have purchased 17 varities of Matcha and only one
has very clearly taken first place to my taste buds and that can be found right here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0101A2FFQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I like my matcha with very little cream. A good matcha should have no bitter taste. Strictly earthy with the slightest
sweetness going down. It should have a strong aromatic that entices you to the cup. Honestly Matcha is the green tea for anyone who claims they hate green tea. It makes an excellent flavoring- with the remaining matcha's that are inferior taste, I cook with them to make things such as Matcha Crepe's.
Favorite Oolong
If I'm on a budget I do stick to Bigelow Oolong, but when I can splurge I love Yunnan Sourcing
more for their Tie Guan Yin variety of Oolong. https://yunnansourcing.com/collections/oolong-tea/products/imperial-tie-guan-yin-of-anxi-oolong-tea-of-fujian-spring-2018?variant=12138853990468
This tea is smooth enough to steal your girlfriend.
I like my oolong with just a bit of honey.
My favorite Chai Variety
Comes from David's Tea. A Canada based company whose selection of any tea is eclectic and fun.
Being a tea snob I find their teas either a big hit, or a miss. I like strength without a bitter recoil.
I want to taste a medley of flavors if you're gonan advertise them as such! And This Black Chai does
just that. https://www.davidstea.com/us_en/tea/chocolate-chili-chai/10248US01VAR0013107.html#q=Chai&srule=Price DESC&sz=12&start=8
I like my chai with cream. This specific Chai, I do add a pinch of cinnamon to just give a certain extra level.
Those are presently my top three, but if you have a super addiction to another variety of tea and are open to suggestions, just let me know and I'll be happy to geek out with ya.
Also, if you aren't a tea person or are feeling lost in the world of tea, give me a PING! I'm SURE I can find a tea
in your budget that you would love regularly- even those adamant on "Coffee only".

@Unicorn: Still going, but kinda crappy. The weather is making some of my weaker parts hurt. I have a crcacked molar that is killing me, in particular. At least it’s way in the back, though. I’m glad your leg is on the mend, though! I took a chunk out of my knee when I was 8, so I feel you there. Three layers of stitches for that bad boy. x_______x;;

I know that feel. I had put off fixing it for so long due to finances, and that occassional hard piece of food would wonder on back and make me jump-and-yelp obnoxiously. Super jolting. Ended up just having the whole molar pulled rather than pay for the Root canal. (It being way in the back seemed pointless to save for aesthetics.

Due to my fangirlishness I have to insist you find time! The story is intricate and immersive. I don't think you'll regret it once you get going.Even if you choose not to play the first two games and only play the third- I think you'll still enjoy and love it.

Submission 1: Birb Slip: Cute fuzzy fluffy bird themed slippers because I am your Voltra neighborhood crazy bird lady (Millet being a beloved seed of many birds) so it would be a crime if I didn't make one submission bird related. (the birb ending with b is not a typo. Its meme lingo haha) Submission 2: Scaler: A reptile, platform combat boot- though I think one of the yellow varieties should probably be leopard print? or a yellow scale print too idk.
half joke submission 3: "The Modern Trojan". Back in the day you needed a army to operate a trojan horse, with today's advancements you need only one.
If you can walk on stilts you can walk in this metal contraption that still manages to look gallant AF:
(I tried :vanora_cry: )
@Vontell: last one being a leg mod technically ish I figure its prob too big to be considered tho lol
