@Totalanimefan: Thank you. I think one particularly painful moment was when my grandfather died that July and the obituary said "preceded in death by one grandson". I really wished it hadn't needed to say he was preceded in death by any grandchildren. I wished the "survived by a host of grandchildren" part was the only part about grandchildren that had needed to be there...

December 2017... And a month later one of my cousins committed suicide. I cried a lot that winter. I have a lot of cousins... but he was the closest to me in age, only 2 years older, so I think it was even more shocking
