First and foremost, I'm so sorry I didn't roll the raffle winners while the event was still running (as intended). Commission work kept me busier than I expected, but the project is almost finished, which will not only be a big weight off my shoulders, but will also free up a big chunk of time! 8D I hope you all enjoyed yourselves during the Beach Boardwalk Festival and nabbed some sweet, sweet loot.

O wO Folded a giant basket of laundry and did some other light cleaning.. so a morning well utilised. And now I can slack off a bit for the rest of the day without feeling guilty about it! How was class?

@Amber Lynne: Oh hey I've been to Michigan! Once upon a time, the distance between us was very small. xD
That might actually be where she was; idk. It's been years and years now (hard to believe, honestly) but I remember her casually just being like "yeah the snow plows can't even get out here yet so I won't be going anywhere for a couple of days". xD And she always responded to my mild panic like "it's no biggie, I have food and water stocked for this occasion" lol
You have a couple of options, that's good! It'd be awesome to sign on with the company that makes Warframe. It's still going strong, from what I understand! I'd love to play it but it'd probably take me a year to download and my internet wouldn't be able to handle it. lol RIP.
And it's already almost 1 AM here... wtf c': off to bed I go.

I'm such an ice cream fanatic that I'll take pretty much any flavour
But I tend to gravitate towards chocolatey chunky goodness, brownie bites, coffee flavours, fudge / caramel swirls, etc.; sometimes I'll crave the fruitier kinds such as strawberry or cherry vanilla. O uO Every now and then I'm able to find a really particular blend that's blackberry / raspberry / chocolate (can't remember the actual name) and it tastes like heaven. Plus the colour is a really pretty blue!
Ice cream sandwiches are THE BOMB. Our local supermarket has these amazing cookies 'n' cream ice cream sandwiches -- Oreo ice cream between two of those amazingly soft chocolate "breads"? D E L I C I O U S.
Also, those frozen push pops in the cardboard sleeves are probably my favourite popsicle. Haven't had or even seen one in like 18 years, nor can I remember what they were called, but they were usually a mix of two or three colours such as green and orange.
Though you can't beat a nice Otter Pop (or six) on a hot summer day. I always sucked all the syrup out of them as a kid and was left with a stick of bland ice sadness.

Are you in the east or the west? o: I've always wanted to go to Montreal @ u@ have some poutine, enjoy the cool weather, look at all the pretty lights. Used to have a friend up in Canada, though I can't remember precisely where. Some place where it snows a lot. She would regularly get snowed in her house for a few days at a time during the winter. xD totally wouldn't mind that tbh
From what I recall, all you need is an Associate's to get your foot in the door with most game companies, though really large developers are probably more selective about their candidates. Do you have a particular developer in your sights?
I'd love to get a job with Bungie. Everything is always romanticised on the surface but their community seems so genuine and close-knit. I'd probably be more likely to get struck my lightning xD

@Totalanimefan: It's pretty sad because unless you're in a huge hub like New York, where everything is connected to everything else, it's incredibly difficult to get a job or get anywhere without a car. Employers are wary of hiring if you don't have your own vehicle, even if you have a reliable ride every day--their reasons are understandable, as they want you to be able to get to work consistently, but it holds some people back. How are they supposed to afford a car if nobody will give them a job?
I did know a guy who walked over an hour (might have been even more; we worked in a huge retirement community) to work every day, and[i] in the searing heat of the summer; he shouldn't have had to do that. Maybe I'm lazy, but I know I couldn't walk in the heat like that and THEN work a serving shift. I'd be ded. It's just not fair.

@Amber Lynne: Sadly I've never mastered my own fears. Fear of failure, of inadequacy, etc often keeps me from doing things in the first place which I know is not any way to live life. Part of it is also just not being able to afford schooling; another part of it is that I'm constantly forgetting that high school wasn't just last year. lmao. I keep thinking I'm still 18/19 while the clock just keeps going... c':I did go to community college a couple years back to start working on my general courses, then I didn't have the time cause I had two jobs, then I didn't have the money cause I quit one of those jobs... such is the vicious cycle of life. xD and of course there's the laziness factor. I have horrible impulse control.
Totally spent $50 in a freaking gacha game to get a character I'll probably never get to use
It's awesome that you have a local school! Out-of-state tuition can be ridiculous, not to mention moving, room and board, and dealing with the shock of living in a completely new area and knowing absolutely nobody. A fresh start is always nice, especially if you're an introvert who prefers solitude anyway, but everyone needs some emotional support now and then and it can be so isolating if you have nobody to fall back on.
You're taking steps to get there, and that's the important thing!
