@Valefor: For real tho xD so many hours spent in the character customisation screen for RPGs (I'm looking at you, Skyrim). The Sims, too. I had to enable testing and CAS mods/tools because I'd always end up tweaking my Sims' appearances at least half a dozen times throughout their lifespan. If we're going to spend the entirety of a game looking at / playing as our characters, we want them to look their best!
I think I started Mass Effect 2 over like 3 times before I got the face model right as the character customisation menu had horrible lighting and Shepard always ended up looking different (see: uggo) in the actual game. The non-default character models are never as detailed as the defaults, though, too, which is understandable in terms of economy of work and resources but kind of a bummer for those of us who want a more personalised experience. c':

Sorry folks I totally fell asleep last night xD didn't realise how late it had gotten.
@Totalanimefan: That's definitely true -- public transit in most US cities is pretty limited, most likely because owning a car and being "self-sufficient" are a huge part of American culture. In most cases, if you live any deeper than right on a surface street you're SOL and/or have to walk/ride a far distance to get to a bus stop or train station etc.
@Tuijp: Hissing at the sun is a general favourite activity in general, amirite?
@Glume: Well I hope you like the smell of sunscreen xD I know I always did lol. Thankfully I was blessed with olive skin so it takes me a while to burn but it does happen, and the resulting leopard-peel skin is certainly not pleasant, though it does look kind of cool. |D
@Dragonus Luciferius: Just stay away from the dayside and you'll be fine c': /gives you a parasol/
@Mousy: As a total hermit, 10/10 can relate. It's too hot and too bright to go outside, and for some reason people seem to get progressively stupid around here as the temperature rises -- for instance, everyone drives like 10mph under the speed limit when it gets really hot out, and I'm sitting there melting in my car with no A/C like "why are you going so slow?? don't you want to get home???" smdh
@Garrister: I feel you. People always complain about the gloomy weather in places like Seattle, London, etc and I'm just like "that sounds so lovely tho". xD Plus I love wearing hoodies which is uncomfortable in the summertime. Q nQ

That is definitely a long trip! Do you typically take the same route each time, or try to mix it up a bit with different scenic routes?
I hear it's really expensive to live in D.C. but I guess that's the trade-off for living in such a historical and culturally significant area.
It's been a while since I've had a good road trip, but without AC in my car I'd be a fool to do it again during the summer. xD I did a few years ago and chugged about 4 Gatorades each way lmao I had to pee so bad at one point I had to pull over and find some bushes cause there wasn't another rest station for like 30 miles RIP

Alas, DC is pretty far away; totally across the country for me xD though I did get to visit many years ago. It was definitely sobering to see the capital, museums, and monuments. I'm a sucker for history and timeless old things.

@Totalanimefan: Yo it's awesome that you get to go to Otakon every year! Going to a convention is on my bucket list. I'd love to be able to go to Guardiancon or even the real deal Comic-Con one of these days. I've got to have an awesome costume if I ever do go.

@Tsundererra: SAND EVERYWHERE! Like I love visiting the beach but it's impossible to not bring the beach home with you xD it gets into places you didn't even think it could get to LOL though imho the absolute worst part about swimming in natural waters is stepping on squishy seaweed Q wQ just thinking about it makes me squirm. Anytime we went to the lake I'd be kicking furiously to keep my feet from touching the bottom xD

@Tsundererra: For real tho! It used to be so much fun to play in the water but now it's just like, "meh" xD it's also a pain getting your hair wet when it's long, especially in pools with chlorine.

Coconut oil is definitely the best type to use ^-^
Saltwater is such a lovely simple remedy. Sore throat? Gum injury? Fresh piercing? Saltwater to the rescue! And 99.99% of people already have salt on hand. 8D *insert joke about salty people lol*

Icebreaker: What's your favourite summer activity? I really loved swimming as a kid. Never wanted to get out of the pool.
Kind of a shame that it doesn't have the same appeal as it did back then, especially since I live somewhere so hot now.
