ah a few months ago i said i would give nanowrimo a try this year (just short stories though, probably not an anthology) , but now that it's gonna happen in a few days i feel like my mind has been focused elsewhere and maybe i shouldn't try to force it? idk >_>
i think trying to do stuff , sometimes can go either way for me - like it can be a helpful coping mechanism for dealing w the year, to stay occupied and get myself to focus on a specific thing and get me thru bad thoughts/feelings. but i wouldn't want to force myself to do things if i'm over capacity or it could just make things worse
sometimes reading can get me into a writing mood?? like reading a good book, and when i think abt how that author wrote it, it can be inspiring sometimes!
i also felt the most motivated to write when i was trying to forum rp - having a partner takes so much writing pressure off, and thinking abt it more from the perspective of improv, for me was useful for not being too perfectionist abt it + overcoming blank canvas syndrome :0

@lina: haha i did buy a second crate just for in stitches !
i usually only get them if i really want a specific set or pose ... i feel like on voltra there's not as much of an economy culture of like, ppl do things just to make volts ? (like buy low sell high kind of stuff) - like it's mostly , ppl get items if they want them, and maybe extra just in case (vs. like as a "business")
i think i have a hard time selling stuff Lol i'm like oh well what if some day i'll find a use for it lol

i think i used to be more sock averse but this year i've kind of been enjoying wearing them around the house!
i think part of it is like... in the past when i get home i'll usually shed/change, so that usually will include socks
i guess now i'm home mostly and will generally leave for like an errand and might not change out of home clothes ? so i don't feel like have to change out of socks since it's not a big drastic shift from outside/inside clothes

ohh what did they change?
i kind of feel that way about tumblr ... i never really had a tumblr phase but i did create accounts when i was younger specifically for posting comics i made, and one for posting poetry and writing. they're both gone now :-/ i don't really understand why they deleted them but i bet they lost a lot of users from doing that (and the nsfw ban too apparently)
lol u probably still are v imaginative and just not thinking about it!! like 10 years later maybe you'll look back at you now and say the same thing ^^

for the snowman body are you using like one of those fuzzy yarns ?? (is there a name for it?)
it looks so soft and so cute TvT did u use a pattern for it?
ahh it looks good! i like the rounded edges ^0^
i'm sure ppl w graphics shops could make one for u if u asked too , like anarchist or vengeance 's shops :3

i love seeing our new crate and orb items, but it's not alway clear what each pose in the set looks like, or what the recolors are for each of the poses
when items are announced, i'd love to see the poses and recolors laid out similar to the item museum !
sometimes i'd want an item just for a specific pose/recolor and i want to make sure it's actually what i think it looks like, instead of trying to guess!
just for example - for when cheshire cabaret was announced, i wasn't sure what the separate poses would be for the set and i thought the body jewelry would be separate, but when i opened it to try it on, it came "attached" to the body suit
it would also make looking items up a little easier, since googling for the surge post is usually a little easier than digging through the item museum thread and would be a helpful place to see all of the poses and recolors laid out!
i think similarly for the commons review - typically it's just the icon for the item that gets shown. but if just a single avatar base preview was included in any color, that would be really helpful! (otherwise, i typically have to unequip my avi to just a base, and go through each store page and click on each item page in order to see what the item looks like / where it's placed on the avi) having it all in one place would definitely be a lot more convenient for each user!

i was on avi sites back in ~2007 and stopped around 2010-2011, i just joined voltra this year out of nostalgia and have been sticking around ^^ the community here is pretty friendly imo!
if it helps, some terminology: ohms are the premium currency, our donation items are called crates, orbs are random item generators (rigs) and update every few months, and the main way to earn volts is by posting! you can also click on the blimp on the front page once a day starting tomorrow, it'll give u some free daily chance items and/or volts and sometimes ohms
i think for casual chatting, ppl tend to hang around hangouts, charity or quest threads, and sometimes general, but i think most people would be down to chat in really any thread lol :3
