Your Christmas dinner sounds noooice~ I hope you talked yourself into going shopping already. I bought a tofurkey ham so I got something to eat when all the stores are closed, but it won’t be made fancy like yours.

Oof, mall parking garages during the holidays are no joke. We were told to come 1-2 hours early if our shift was past noon. Plus that walk sounds pretty good if it’s not too cold. :)

What’s the coldest your area gets? We’ve been bouncing from the teens to the 40s these last couple of weeks. They said it’s supposed to be around 50 on Christmas. x__x

the kids are so frustrating! I'm like there was no way I was this difficult as a child!! but I probably was. I know my teachers struggled with me because I didn't participate much, so I'm not too hard on the quiet kids since I know they'll turn out fine
some kids are definitely rather confident and I'm like wow you talk to adults like that??? you're 8???

I’m sure we’ve had our difficult students in the US too, but oof, it’s hard for me to remember if kids were that unwilling to participate. I was always one of those kids who always raised their hand up to answer, even if I wasn’t sure, so it kills me that these children don’t even want to try if there’s a chance their answer is wrong. And I agree with the quiet kids being ok. A lot of them seem to know their stuff based on their hw and class work, so I didn’t prod them as hard.

@Totalanimefan: I wish our winters were as mild as your’s. x__x We’re finally in the 50’s today, but oof, I know we’ll drop back down to the high 20’s later tonight.
And I hope you got your shopping done with no problems. :3

I’ll try to speed up, but no promises.

@Miss Sandman: I don’t really have any plans. I made some gingerbread and baklava to give to my neighbors, but now I’m just going to relax at home until New Year’s.
I’m glad you had a nice Christmas Eve even without the alcohol. Who gave you the pretty clothes for a present? It’s nice there’s someone who knows your style.
Do you have any other plans for the rest of the year?

@Totalanimefan: NY and PA get much colder than 10 degrees and single digits, same for VA, but it’s much worse North. I remember one time as a kid I waited at the bus stop and I had wet hair, and it froze in a minute.

I’m actually surprised people would come from out of state for Magfest. It’s not as put together or big as Otakon from what I remember, but maybe things have changed. I hope you have a blast, doe. :D

I definitely was not and I did have a teacher get so frustrated with how quiet I was that he told me that I wouldn't make it in the real world because I would have to talk to people at any job and then I have hated him ever since.

D: Like damn son, just because they don’t want to talk to you or chime in all the time in class doesn’t mean they’re like that in every situation. I feel like some teachers got annoyed by my constant participation. There were times when it would be only me raising my hand, and the teacher ignores it until someone else raises their’s. ^^;;

@eleven: He was prolly taking out his frustrations on you, and it prolly had little to do with how quiet you were. ): People with no patience shouldn’t be teachers. The only time I’ve gotten frustrated is when the ENTIRE CLASS was quiet and not participating, and I still didn’t lash out at them like your teacher did to you.
And I understand the concept of letting others participate after I was a teacher. I always tried to let the other kiddos have a go instead of letting the same eager student answer everything.
