Casey sighed as she weaved between the people. She wasn't sure what it was that she should have bene expecting here. She knew that it would be a large show, and knew that there would be plenty of people who would arrive, but she wasn't entirely sure the specifics. There were more than she'd expected, most certainly, though.
At the very least, this should be good for the charity she was working with for this.

As she waved through some of the people, she was stopped by a colleague of hers. An older male, around his mid 50's, with greying hair, a matching beard and mustache, and glasses as well.
"Ah, Casey." he said to her when she came into speaking range.
"Trying to make your way around, I see." he chuckled.
"Yes, this is certainly quite the massive turnout." he commented further, looking around.
"But it should do wonders for your charity."

"There's a ridiculous number of people here, and it's good because more exposure for me, not that I really need it, and more attention to the charity. From what I've heard, they've managed a couple of grand in donations tonight already." She said with a smile.

"There's certainly quite the variety here as well." he commented.
"Water paintings, oil paintings, acrylic paintings, some 3D work... but I have to say, the sculptures seem to be REALLY captivating many people." he told her.
"I thought you normally didn't do stonework." he added.

"I... didn't bring anything akin to that. I don't work with stone or anything akin to it..."

"They look like angels, but their faces are that of bitter defeat, horror, and agony." he said further.
"I thought it was a nice subtle stab at organized mainstream belief systems. You know, the ones that are considered 'trendy' these days." he went on.
"But if you didn't bring them... who DID...?" he then wondered aloud.
"You didn't?" he asked.
"But there's a couple of statues over by the bay window exhibit." he told her.

"Because they certainly aren't my work." She paused as she looked them over.

"I... you're right. The detail is absolutely amazing." She agreed with a nod before sighing internally. With what she knew of the world, his comment made her question if they actually WERE crafted from earl people.

"Miss Kiczys!" a young male, Mason, around 22 years old, called to her. He was one of the people helping her organize her things for the event.
"You're needed in the hall!" he said.
"They want your help in arranging your paintings for maximum aesthetics."

Casey looked over toward the one that had been calling for her, before growling as he said what he did.
"Excuse me? Those are to be in the order I bloody well put them in!" She snapped before heading off. The paintings in question were a series, and meant to be in a specific order. There was no arranging them for aesthetics, and if they tried to do anything else with them, then she would have a few words for them.
And none of them would be pretty.

"...." he was quiet, before looking back at the statues, seemingly fascinated with that.

Casey had gotten everything straightened out, and the speech had gone off without a hitch. The fundraiser continued to make money, and the food that was being served was delicious... but there was something that seemed... off... to Casey, but she couldn't put her finger on it, until she noticed an empty seat.
Mason hadn't shown up for the speech and dinner.
"...." he was quiet, before looking back at the statues, seemingly fascinated with that.

"Sorry I can't be of more help." they then apologized.
