As she looked, she saw no sign of him, but she was opting to head straight to where the statues had been, seeing as that was where he had been seen last.
And he was still there.
Collapsed on the floor with a horribly broken neck, like it had been violently snapped.
Also... the statues were nowhere to be seen. They were completely gone, as though they had never been there at all. The only evidence of them having been there would be a few stray pebbles.

"What...?" Casey asked before shaking her head and racing out to the other room. She found the same person as before.
"Get the authorities." She stated quietly, not wanting to cause a ruckus.
"Mason is dead."

The person seemed to be stunned to the point of being horrified.
"D-d-dead?" he stammered.
"Y-yes, of course." he told her.
"I'll call them right away." he said, quickly pulling out his phone and starting to dial the number.
Casey knew she wouldn't be getting home anytime soon, now. Not with her being the one that discovered the body.

The man she had spoken to was still speaking with the authorities, and she knew that they'd be there very soon.
As she walked, she noticed that people were mostly staying in the banquet hall, mingling and socializing, but she saw someone breaking off from the group.
And they looked like they were walking in the direction of Mason's body.

Casey was quick to get in the way, and stop them. for now, she couldn't do anything, not truly, but she had to do what she could.
As they wouldn't listen, she explained that someone had been harmed and that theyu couldn't get in the way. The authorities had been contacted as well.
All in all, that had been enough to stop them, thankfully.
Hours later, she' was sitting and waiting for the cops to basically tell her that she was good to go when she called home to let them know she'd be late. Well, later than she already was.
"Hey Ash." She said after a moment.
"I know I'm late coming home, but I'm gonna be later." She then said after he'd answer.
"It's not fun, but someone had their neck snapped."

"Lindsay had his neck snapped earlier as well." Ash told her. "Landed in the pool as well, so that was a right pain." he went on. "Luckily Ashley heard him, or he might still be floating in there." he said further.
