"..........." he had no idea what to say here, so he merely locked his eyes on the statue, and brought the phone to his ear.
"Aedan." he said.
"Suppose I am standing but an inch away from a statue that was not behind me moments ago." he told her.
"Any advice on where to go from there?" he asked.

With that, they ended their call, and Azazel used his powers to teleport himself to the Remmington manor... but found that he appeared just at the front door.

Meanwhile, back at the Unit...
She was small, but there were times - like this - that it proved useful.
She had climbed up into the vents to track down where it was that someone's guinea pig had run off to. This was why she wasn't keen on the idea of having pets if you were staying at the unit, but she wasn't about to say tha tthey shouldn't b allowed. She completely understood why they were important to some people.
As she climbed out of the vent and into the cafeteria area, she paused.
"Huh? That... wasn't there earlier... was it?" She asked the rodent in her hands.
"Do you know anything of that thing?" She asked the guinea pig, who just trilled in response. She rolled her eyes before approaching it to check it over.
Word of living statues hadn't reached her yet.

As she checked the statue over, another person joined her in the cafeteria.
It was Jake, the security guard, in one of the rare instances he was at the Unit, but away from the security desk.
As soon as he stepped inside, he froze.
He then looked around, his tongue darting in and out of his mouth at an alarmingly fast rate.
"....what the...?" he muttered.
"Something doesn't smell... right...?" he said further, before looking over to the female and the statue.
"Get away from that thing!" he called to her.
It was Jake, the security guard, in one of the rare instances he was at the Unit, but away from the security desk.
As soon as he stepped inside, he froze.
He then looked around, his tongue darting in and out of his mouth at an alarmingly fast rate.
"....what the...?" he muttered.
"Something doesn't smell... right...?" he said further, before looking over to the female and the statue.

"Eh?" She asked as she turned to face him.
"It's just a stone statue." She commented before looking back at it.
". . . it is eerie though." She agreed before making her way over to him. The way she saw it, he generally had a better sense of things like that than she did. She could read the air, what was around, but to her, it was just a stone statue. she was never good with mana and the like.

"It reeks of death." he told her.
"It's absolutely saturated in the stench of death, both fresh and stagnant." he went on.
Not taking his eyes off the statue, he took his walkie-talkie communicator out, and brought it to his mouth.
"We have a U-B situation in the cafeteria." he said into the device, U-B meaning 'Unknown Bogey'. "Strange angel-like statue. Reeks of death, was NOT here earlier." he explained further.

"Aedan, think we can get it here?" The human mage asked the zombie. Aedan paused a moment, seeming to be considering the possibility of that.

"...though the description is somehow familiar..." he then muttered, before shaking his head.
"Regardless, this could be a very serious and dangerous situation."

"And I'm pretty sure that we need to study it." Kiah added before looking to Aedan.
"Mana barriers. " Kiah commented.
"Guess we run." Aedan said before they took off.
They reached the location within a couple of minutes before Aedan just whistled.
"Peyton, Jake! Don't look away from it. and do NOT blink!" She called.
"Kiah can you do like a mana ring around it? Trap it if someone DOES look away?" She asked. Kiah paused, thinking about it.
"Mana transport within the building is a no go... but I should be able to do a barrier, yeah." Kiah answered before approaching it, intending to do exactly what she was asked to.

"Kiah, you just do the barrier. I got this." She added after a second. Kiah nodded before concentrating to do as she needed to.
"Basically, our suspicion is that someone was turned into a stone statute of some sort." Aedan then said, informing Jake of what was going on.
"This isn't the first one we've encountered, either. But long story short, probably got blood in there like the last one that is around a century old. Therefore resulting in one hell of an assault on senses."
