lol. Yeah... that's the combination that tends to get nasty. It can be a pretty cut-throat game... but it doesn't have to be.
Lol I have a World of Warcraft version.
My mom mentioned how we needed board games for hurricane season, and she doesn't know that I got us covered.

It is, when I can convince someone to play it with me.
LOL. I'm guessing that doesn't happen very often??
I'm not sure what our hurricane games/activities/situation is looking like these days. The kids are 2/3 out of the house at this point - I'm not sure if they'd come back here if we're facing a fairly direct threat or not.

It really doesn't happen very often.

No, it really doesn't. Fortunately.
We have the haunted mansion game too... among all other sorts of games. Games, we have. People to play them in case of blackout? I don't know.

Well mine are just because my friends like having game nights. But they can also be used for power outage situations.
well yeah... games are a good thing to do during power outages. I'm just not sure if we'd have enough people these days to play games in that situation
That's fair. Got any books?
Oh yeah - we have books, we have cards, we have puzzles, we have various crafts and hobbies, and a house that has different projects that we can do (even without electricity). And we have the dogs (lol)... and they are needy little wussy dogs in a storm! Keeping myself and/or hubby busy isn't usually an issue, even if it's always a little weird (these days) not having online access.
What else do you usually do when a storm comes through?

Sleep, mostly sleep and read. But I have a job now, so not sure that will be happening anymore.
well, if you're facing a pretty direct hit from a storm, the store should close...
Doesn't mean it will though. XD
lol. I suppose so. But you're a used bookstore... it's not like your store (at least now how you've described it in the past) sells plywood and generators and canned goods, etc.
Yeah. But this area, it takes a LOT for them to willingly shut down for a storm.
Yeah, I know. Still...
Five Crowns is another good game, btw - it's like a more complicated version of rummy. And exploding kittens. And munchkin.

I need to beef up my game collection.
It's hard to have too many games, imo... especially if you have people to play them with you!
Tsuro is another easy and fun game. Forbidden Island is another one that you might like if you like that Mansion game we were talking about earlier (blanking on the exact name of it ATM)

@Wildfire: for me we really do not need a big living room.
or a super large kitchen.
to me the bedrooms have to be big enough. because we have two desks and i want to be able to have a kind of lounge chair
in it eventually.
@CooperationIsKey: Our roof isn't leaking.
it's just the ceiling in the kitchen.
