After a moment of silence, she heard a voice from the speaker.
"Hunter code name or guest code." they said.
"We're not letting you in because you want to see someone." they told her.
"Now... do you have a hunter code name, or a guest code?" they asked.
"Otherwise, you're SOL."

"Then don't let me in and get him to the door." She half snapped before pulling her cell out, knowing they wouldn't cooperate.
She didn't have any service, but there was w3ifi there. So she wrote a quick email and sent it to Ash.
Yo. I'm at the doors. Come let me in. I've no way in otherwise. was all it said.
Meanwhile, inside the guild, Ash and Cass were in the latter's office, trying to figure out some issues they'd been having, when the former's cell phone chimed.
"Hm?" he muttered, taking it out and checking what it was.
"....huh?" he asked.
"Oooooookay..." he mumbled.
"Cass, I'm gonna need to excuse myself for a moment." he told the one he was with.
"Apparently Lily's at the front doors of the guild." he said, showing her the concise email he'd been sent.

Cass paused a moment.
"That's odd." She said.
"I wonder why the hell she's here." She then said after a moment before hitting a button on a keybvoard atop her desk. A small mana screen popped up, showing who was outside the door.
It did certainly look like Lily.
"Well, go take care of that, then."
"Right." Ash responded, before getting up and heading out of the office.
Meanwhile, at the front door, whomever it was that was manning the door, was still talking to Lily.
"Shove off, would you?" they said.
"Listen, you don't have a code so there's no... hm?... oh, hey, AJ. No... no, it's fine, just someone... wait... hey, what...?" she then heard, before there was sounds of a minor scuffle, and some snappish tones.
"Right." Ash's voice then said.
"Quick test. What plant did Luke grow that almost destroyed your house that one time?" he asked her.

"Of all things." Lily commented before sighing.
"My idiot brother, without reading the damned book as a guide, summoned a giant snapper maw, and thank Gaea he hasn't done so again since." She stated.
"I'm pretty damned sure he learned his lesson."
After a bit of silence, she heard some clanking and clunking, before the large doors opened, and Ash poked his head out.
"Lily?" he asked.
"What the hell are-" he started to ask further, before noticing the.... gigantic... feline behind her.
"Oh." he said.
"Seems this little guy remembers you from so long ago." he commented.
"You and him had such fun when he was a kitten and you were a baby." he chuckled.
"Lily?" he asked.

"What am I doing here? I have no clue." Lily answered before pausing a moment.
"My best guess is that I was split from the others because of wayward mana or something." She added before sighing.
"And I've no service out here." She then said as she showed him her phone. "Wifi here though, at least." She paused a moment before looking back at feline.
"And yep."
"Well, there WAS that recent mana storm..." Ash mumbled.
"Regardless, good thing he brought you here." he said further. He then thought for a moment, and nodded.
"Ah, right." he said.
"One moment." he told her, before heading back to the door.
"Back in a minute." he said further, as he disappeared inside. A few minutes later, he returned with a large quilled rat, at least twice as big as himself, held above his head, which caused the feline to be on immediate alert, ready to pounce.
"Ah! Ah! Noooo... not yeeeet..." he said to the feline, before setting the rat down. It squirmed and shrieked as it tried to escape, before Ash let it go, and it darted for the woods.
"Go get it!" Ash called to the feline, before it launched after it, chasing it into the woods.

Lily watched the cat take off before chuckling.
"Cats live for the chase." She commented, knowing it was quite true.
"Anyway, yeah. I'm stranded here with no service to let Mom or anyone know where the hell am I." She added.
"Any chance you can help?"
Ash nodded.
"Sure thing." he replied.
"Come on in." he said.
"The guild'll be a safe place to stay until we can contact Anna or Andrew." he told her.
"So come on." he said, heading to the door and motioning for her to follow.

Lily nodded before following Ash inside. She wasn't about to deny that, even though she was quite certain that she wouldn't be attacked b y anything.
She did need a drink, and desperately at that, though.
"Thanks, Ash." She said. It was one thing that was different between her and her mother. There were times that Lily actually said thank you. It was rare, but it was heard sometimes. Whereas with Anna, it never happened.
"Heh." Ash chuckled.
"No problem." he said.
"Anyway, there anything I can get you?" he asked.
"You hungry or thirsty or whatever?" he asked further.
"I can take you to the cafeteria if you like." he offered.
"No problem." he said.

"Food? I'm good." Lily answered.
"Drink? Fuck yes." She answered.
"I feel like I've been drained of most fluid in my body. I know that's likely not true, but that mana fuck up really did drain me a notable amount. So lead the way."
Ash thought for a moment, and nodded.
"Hm." he mumbled.
"Ah, I know what can help with that." he said.
"Let's head to the sparring arena." he suggested.
"Get you something at the smoothie bar that'll give you can your energy and rehydrate you and all that good stuff"

Lily was silent for a moment before nodding.
"That'd be grand." She stated.
"So lead the way." She added before he did. On the way though, Ash was able to tell that she wasn't at the most perky point. The air around her seemed more arid than it normally was, considering she was part lantha.
"....." Ash was silent as he noticed this, and sighed.
'That can't be good.' he thought.
A few minutes later, they entered the sparring room, and made their way to the juice bar in the corner.
"Jacques, a special power booster smoothie for Lily here." he told the blonde man.
"Comin' up!" Jacques responded, before he set to work, whipping up the large-sized drink in a flash, and handing it to Lily.
"Here you are, miss!" he said to her.

Lily nodded, but didn't say anything. Sure, she was more polite than her mother, but generally only with people she knew, not with people that were strangers.
"This... is actually really good." She commented as she tasted it.
"Like... surprisingly so." she admitted. "What's in it?"
"A number of things." Jacques responded cryptically.
"He doesn't like to reveal his recipes." Ash told Lily.
"However, I will reveal that there are Hannessy Grapes, Power Strawberries, and Mighty-Burst Mangoes in it." Jacques then said to her.
"Huh." Ash muttered.
"Well, that DOES explain a lot." he admitted.
"Starting to feel better?" he then asked Lily. "His smoothies generally start to work quickly."

"There is no shame in deterrence. Having a weapon is very different from actually using it." - Ghandi
"That's what I could place... the Mangoes." Lily commented.
"Mom tends to use those when either my brother or I are feelin' drained." She then said.
"Anyway, do I need to maintain an escort while here, or rather - are you going to be my escort the entire time - or do you trust me to be on my own?" She asked Ash with a laugh.
"Seriously. If you can go do what you need to, go do so. I'll probably just wander. I've been here a few times before, and still have a decent recollection of the layout of this place."
