"Mm." he mumbled.

"...Walsh..." he then said under his breath.

"Ashley Walsh..." he repeated.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"I like it." he said further, before he perked up.

"Someone's coming this way." he told her, pointing west.

Rylie paused a moment, looking in that direction, bfore sighing.

"All right. Let's move quicker. Now that we're out of the town, we can move much faster." She commented with a light sigh before whistling, causing her ghostly steed to come to them.

"Climb up."

Ash nodded and climbed up onto the horse.

"All right." he said.

"I'm ready." he told her, as she seated herself on the steed.

He then smiled, and held on.

She could see he was excited. He loved riding her horse.

He'd said it made him feel lighter than air.

'Hold on tight." Rylie said before they headed off, heading to their next destination, somewhere thait neither of them knew for the moment.

A couple of years later, they were returning to the same inn that they had been in originally. Of course, they stepped in just as whomever was in charge at the time was throwing someone out of the establishment. Rylie side stepped them with a light chuckle.

"Someone causing a ruckus?" She asked them after they'd finished.

"Indeed." he told her.

"Not even alcohol to blame this time." he said.

"Just decided to up and be a nuisance." he lamented, shaking his head.

"Anyway, welcome back." he greeted them.

"How are things going?" he asked.

"Need a place to stay?"

"Well, looking for a place for a few days or so, and to pass on some information to Az, if he's available at some point tonight." Rylie answered with a nod.

"I assume there's somewhere that we can stay for a couple nights?" She asked, her voice curious.

"Since if not, we can head to another Inn. I know that sometimes you guysa re busier than usual."

"Come on in." he said.

With that, the three of them headed in, and towards the desk.

"I'll let the boss know you're here." he told her.

"There anything you want him to bring up?' he asked.

"Bear meat if he has it!" Ash piped up.

"Obviously the kid could use some food." Rylie commented with a light laugh.

"Beyond that, nothing I can't come down for." She added with a soft smile.

"And thank you." She added after a moment or two.

He then smirked, and chuckled lightly.

"After all, have to keep the new Mom happy." he commented.

Ash, meanwhile, was looking around, sniffing the air, and paused when he heard that.

'...Mom?' he thought.

He then went silent, and just decided to look in one direction constantly.

"WAit... what? Did Az finally hook up with someone?" She asked with a laugh, her tone curious.

"Be nice if he did. I really do think he'd be happier if he had a proper partner in crime."

"No, silly." he said.

"YOU." he told her.

"After all, you took in Ash." he went on.

"You take care of him." he continued.

"You might as well be his Mom." he reasoned.

"And it's recent, so 'new'." he added with a shrug.

"The boss really hasn't shown ANY interest in anything like that." he finished.

"Right then." She said.

"And I'm sure someone will worm their way into the demons heart eventually." She added with a light laugh.

"Anyway, do you have any bear meat in stock? If not, I can go get." She then added after a moment. "Because... well, why not? I knwo it's a best seller for you guys too."

He then disappeared, and Ash looked back to Rylie.

"Hey..." he said.

"ARE you like my Mom?" he asked.

"Which is to say... would you be my Mom, considering the circumstances and such?"

"Already gave you my name." Rylie answered with a chuckle.

"Head up to the room or take a seat and eat?' She asked.

"Also, for the record, If you'll have me, I don't see wy it wouldn't work. Just not entirely sure why you want to stay by me... as I'm ... well, you've seen how some towns treat me." There was no self-deprecation to her voice. She didn't think lowly of herself, was merely expressing what people had shown.

"You're nice, and that's all that matters." he told her.

He then paused and looked around again.

"Seems a bit crowded." he commented.

"I think I'll go up to the room." he said.

"Just be out of the way, maybe lay down for a bit." he continued.

"That all right?" he asked.

"Or... wait..." he mumbled.

"If I can't eat in the room, I'll sit and eat first." he corrected himself.

"No, no. It's all right. I can bring the food up to you." She told him.

"Do you remember where the room is? Or shall I walk with you?" She asked, her voice curious.

"I'll head up there now." he told her, before going behind the desk and grabbing the key to it.

"See you later!" he called to her, running off... just as Azazel appeared.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"Seems like the kid's getting bolder, more confident, and more comfortable." he said to Rylie.

"Yep. Then again, it's been about two years since I first found him." She commented.

"Yeah, makes sense that after 2 years he's improved." She added before sighing lightly.

"Also, hey there Az. Pleasure to see you again. Been what, about eight months?" She asked, thinking about it for a moment.

"He's keep that under better lock and key thatn you and I do about what we are." She added.

"I wish I could figure anything new out about him, mind." She added with a sigh.
